Last Saturday, our Men's First Team stepped onto the pitch together for the very first time — and went toe-to-toe with C.D. Municipal Limeño, a side stacked with three national selection players.

Final score: 3-1. But scoreboards don't tell the whole story.

500 fans packed the stands. The atmosphere was electric. And our guys — playing as a team for the first time ever — competed like they'd been together for years.

Total Football is very simple. But playing simple is very difficult.

When we have the ball, we make the pitch big. When we lose it, we make it small. It's about increasing space and time when you have the ball — and reducing space and time the moment you lose it.

In Total Football, the speed at which you transition — Attacking to Defending, and Defending to Attacking — is often what decides who wins the momentum in a game.

Simple concept. Difficult to execute.

Here, we force an error by transitioning faster from Attacking to Defending and applying immediate pressure — then transitioning faster again from Defending to Attacking to create a shot.

Total Football isn't a style of play — it's a philosophy.

It starts with understanding the difference between Tactics and Strategy. Tactics is a set way of doing something. Strategy is having the flexibility to adapt to any situation and solve it with the right tactics.

There are 3 ways to attack: 1) Around 2) Through 3) Over.

In this build-up sequence, you don't see just one way — you see all three.

When you can do all 3 at the same time, you're starting to play the Total Football philosophy. You become unpredictable. High press or low press, it doesn't matter — opponents can't stop it, and it looks easy.

That's when you know you're on the right track.

Dutch NOS national news TV station just featured Dutch FC. 🇳🇱

NOS, the biggest news station in the Netherlands, traveled to theFields of Faith in Frisco to report on something they found remarkable: an American youth soccer club doing it the Dutch way — affordable, emphasizing the joy of playing the game, and built to develop players rather than pressure them.

Their story landed on the same truth Dutch FC was founded on: kids play better when they love the game, they learn faster and stay in the game longer allowing them to compete at higher levels. As one player put it, "They give you chances even if you fail." That's guided-discovery coaching — our coaches guide players to find solutions instead of barking orders — and it's how the Netherlands has produced world-class players for decades.

Starting as a non-profit with just four recreational players in 2018, has grown today to hundreds of kids. Built on a simple purpose: inspire a lifelong passion for the game by developing players to compete at their highest level.

No country has ever won a FIFA World Cup with a foreign-born head coach.

Despite the growing prevalence of foreign managers, well over half this tournament is led by foreign coaches — yet the ultimate prize has always gone to a team guided by one of its own.

At this World Cup, 28 of the 48 national teams — 58.3% — are coached by someone from a different country than the one they represent. The remaining 20 teams have a domestic coach.

A few interesting trends:

Argentina exports the most coaches, with six Argentine managers leading different national teams.

Italy did not qualify for the World Cup, yet it still has three Italian managers coaching other nations — including Brazil.

It raises an interesting question:

Should FIFA require national team head coaches to be citizens of the country they represent, just like the players?

Would that protect the spirit of international football — or limit the global exchange of knowledge that makes the game better?

🇳🇱 More Than a Match. A Legacy of Dutch Footballing Development.

Tonight’s Round of 32 match between the Netherlands and Morocco is about more than two nations.

It’s a testament to the power of the Dutch youth development system.

The Netherlands, a country of just 18 million people, continues to produce world-class footballers through one of the most respected development systems in the world. From local neighborhood clubs to academies like Ajax, PSV, Feyenoord, AZ Alkmaar, FC Utrecht, and others, generations of players have been shaped by a philosophy built on technical excellence, football intelligence, creativity, and courage on the ball.

That influence extends far beyond the Dutch national team.

Several stars representing Morocco today also have deep connections to Dutch football. Players such as Noussair Mazraoui, Sofyan Amrabat, Anass Salah-Eddine, Bilal Ould-Chikh, and Mohamed Ihattaren all developed within the Dutch football system before representing the country of their family’s heritage at the international level.

That’s the beauty of football.
