real and raw 😅😅
Let me know what you’re looking forward to seeing the most? 🌷

Okay, I think I need to explain my heart behind this a little more because I have absolutely taken the personality tests. 😂
I’ve put myself into the boxes.
I’ve read the descriptions and thought, “Yep. That sounds like me.”
And honestly, I’ve even used them as excuses.
I’ve told my husband, my friends, and even myself, “Well, that’s just how I am.”
And THAT is where my issue with labeling ourselves comes in.
I actually think personality tests can be really helpful in understanding yourself. They can help you recognize your tendencies, understand why you respond to things certain ways, and give you language for things you may not have understood about yourself before.
But I think as Christians, we have to be careful that understanding ourselves doesn’t turn into defining ourselves.
Because I can read every self-help book, take every personality test, be a Type A or Type B, be a number 8 or a number 9, and know myself inside and out…
But at the end of the day, am I still willing to grow?
Am I willing to be interrupted?
Am I willing to say, “Maybe this is how I naturally operate, but that doesn’t mean this is how I’m supposed to stay”?
Because Jesus had a purpose. He had places to go and things to do, but He was interruptible.
People mattered enough to Him that He could stop.
And I think that’s something we have to wrestle with.
Are we so attached to our routines, our plans, our personalities, our expectations, and even our understanding of ourselves that we can’t be interrupted by the people God has placed right in front of us?
Our children.
Our spouse.
Our friends.
And even the work God is trying to do in our own hearts.
I don’t think the goal is to become the best version of our personality.
I think the goal is to become more like Christ.
And that means we’re going to have to grow.
Tell me what you think. I actually want to have this conversation in the comments.

My absolute favorite gifts the Lord has I trusted me with and cannot wait to add one more to the mix ♥️
There’s no greater calling than bringing up your children on the way up the Lord

I always getting nervous posting stuff like this, but the reality is a social media has created a space in a way for us to label our ourselves and create laziness and normalize it.
And that’s just not OK.
Put your big girl panties on and get up and get her done.

I’m a mama of two & pregnant. I’ve been married for almost 4 years..
Life is not easy.
I have been through things. Our marriage has been through things.
I have battled postpartum depression. I have battled postpartum anxiety.
And I battle diagnosed PTSD and hyper anxiety which when both are triggered caused pseudo seizures. (Great for a boy mom and medical mom am I right 🤣. But God knows this is what im called to do)

I’ve had days where it’s hard to get out of bed. I’ve heard days where I’ve been mad at my husband. I’ve had hard days where I don’t wanna be a mom, but the reality is as we are called to greater things and to do things full heartedly for the Lord.
To put on your big girl panties on and take care of what needs to be taken care of, along with taking care of yourself. Laziness is not biblical.
