Five years.

Five years of early mornings, late nights, hard work, and an incredible community.

When we started Apex Performance Lab, our mission was simple: give athletes the tools they need to succeed on and off the field. We believe success is built through consistency, hard work, discipline, and having fun along the way.

Over the last five years, we’ve been fortunate to watch hundreds of athletes grow stronger, faster, more confident, and more prepared for whatever comes next. Seeing that growth has been the greatest reward.

To every athlete who trusted the process, every parent who believed in us, every coach who supported our mission, and everyone who has been part of the Apex family, thank you. You are the reason we’ve made it to this milestone.

We’re proud of what we’ve built, but we’re even more excited about what’s ahead.

Here’s to the next five years of helping athletes become the best version of themselves. 💙

Fall ball isn’t a requirement. Development is.
One of the biggest mistakes I see is players jumping into fall ball because everyone else is doing it.

If you’re not physically strong enough...
If you don’t throw hard enough...
If your stuff isn’t good enough to separate yourself...

What exactly are you showcasing?

College coaches aren’t recruiting potential over performance during the fall. They’re evaluating what you are today.

Instead of spending every weekend proving you’re not ready, spend the fall becoming the player they can’t ignore in the spring.

✅ Get stronger.
✅ Add velocity.
✅ Improve your command.
✅ Develop a better secondary pitch.
✅ Recover. Train. Repeat.

The goal isn’t to play the most games. The goal is to become the best player.
Sometimes the smartest decision is skipping showcases and tournaments to invest in development.

Don’t chase exposure.
Earn it.

The athletes who make the biggest jumps aren’t always the ones playing the most they’re often the ones spending months improving while everyone else is competing.

Develop first. Showcase later.

With the heat we’re seeing this week, hydration and nutrition matter more than ever. ☀

Don’t make the mistake of trying to “catch up” by chugging a bottle of water right before practice. If you’re dehydrated when you show up, you’re already behind.

- Hydrate consistently throughout the day, not just before practice.

- If you’ve fallen behind or know you’ll be sweating a lot, add electrolytes like Gatorade or Powerade.

- Don’t skip meals. Your body needs fuel to perform.

- If you’ll be outside for an hour or more, pack a snack to help keep your energy up (sour patch kids, gummy worms, fruit, etc)

Take care of your body now so it can take care of you when it’s time to compete. đŸ’Ș
