There’s a lot of work that goes into preparing for YAGP, and we’re proud of the dedication our dancers bring to the studio.

We’re grateful to Miss Lydia for helping them continue to grow, and to the Smartt Steps community for cheering each other on along the way.

We can’t wait to see our dancers take on this experience! 💜

How can you tell when dance has become more than just an after-school activity? 💜

Maybe your child is practicing the same steps in the living room, telling you every detail about class on the ride home, or cheering just as loudly for their friends as they do for themselves.

In our latest blog, we’re sharing 5 signs your child has found their passion for dance, plus a few ways you can support them as they grow.

🎃 Double the dancers, double the fun!

Costume Week is October 26–30, and we're inviting our dancers to bring a friend to class for FREE! 👯‍♀️ Wear your favorite studio-appropriate costume and get ready for a fun week of dancing together.

Who are you bringing? ✨

Fall sports are wrapping up, and we know what that means: an open afternoon or two on the family calendar.

If you've got a soccer player, a cheer kid, or a cross-country runner who's about to have some free time, we'd love to have them try a dance class in Hendersonville. The coordination carries right over. So does the teamwork. And it's never too late in the year to start here. Our teachers meet every dancer exactly where they are, first-timers included.

Come take a free trial class this month. No experience needed, and no pressure after the first class. Just see if it sticks.

One of the best parts of what we do is getting to watch our dancers grow into who they are, both inside and outside the studio. 💜

Brianna shared this about her daughter’s experience at Smartt Steps:
“Smartt Steps has become so much more than just a studio my daughter goes to dance. It has become a place where she is growing, learning, and becoming the best version of herself. As a parent, there is nothing better than watching your child be surrounded by people who genuinely care about them as a person, not just a dancer.”

Thank you, Brianna, for trusting us with your daughter and for sharing what Smartt Steps means to your family. We’re grateful to be part of her growth.

If your family has a Smartt Steps story to share, we’d love to hear it. Leave us a review on Google or share it in the comments.

An empty studio just doesn’t hit the same.

Give us the music, the movement, and a room full of dancers any day. 💜

Adam brings a strong background in hip hop and a passion for helping dancers develop both their skills and confidence. His classes are rooted in the fundamentals while giving dancers room to explore different styles, challenge themselves, and have fun.

We’re excited to have Adam leading our dancers this season and can’t wait to see what they accomplish together. 🔥

A strong foundation matters. 🩰💜

Ballet isn't just for dancers who want to be ballerinas. The technique built in ballet helps dancers develop the alignment, control, coordination, and musicality they need across every style.

At Smartt Steps, that's why ballet is part of our training for both recreational and competitive dancers.

Want to learn more about why ballet matters and how it supports your dancer's growth? Check out our latest blog: https://smarttsteps.com/why-ballet-training-matters-for-dancers/
