Your Pilates career should be able to grow with you — and go with you.
Houston. New York. London. Wherever life takes you.
Some training may not translate that way. Comprehensive Pilates education prepares you for more than one class format or studio environment. From group classes and private sessions to working across different studios and apparatus, your training becomes the foundation for a career that can evolve alongside you.
Because where you train shouldn’t determine how far you can go.

Thinking about Pilates teacher training?
In world full of trends and impersonators - without regulation, here's what to look for in a program that truly prepares students for professional success, these are the essentials:
1. Comprehensive curriculum - The best programs include the full Pilates system and all major apparatus, including mat, reformer, cadillac, chairs and barrels - at a minimum.
2. In-person learning - The best programs aren't always the most convenient-but they prioritize quality. In-person learning is often vital for those who want to teach effectively.
Independent study homework hours - The minimum for legitimacy is around 450 hours, but top-tier programs often offer 720 or more. These hours matter-see our other posts for why this is so critical.
4. Expert, consistent faculty -You should be learning from trained professionals, not third-party teachers or studio owners who are only qualified based on proximity. Programs with consistent, faculty-led curriculum support a more stable and standardized learning experience - ensuring success for you.
If we missed anything, let us know in the comments. And for those in Houston-one of the most valuable aspects of our course will be our faculty, Kari.
Here's why that matters:
•Kari has been part of the Pilates community for 11 yesrs.
• They will teach you from start to finish-ensuring consistency and care for your entire journey.
•They support you and journey with you as you go from new to emerging to confident.

What makes a great Pilates teacher training program?
Not all certifications are created equal.
If you're serious about becoming a confident, skilled Pilates teacher, here's what to look for:
Comprehensive curriculum Top-tier programs include all of the traditional apparatus-not just reformer.
In-person learning
The best programs aren't always the most convenient-but they prioritize quality. In-person learning is often vital for those who want to teach effectively. (Accessibility accommodations are always considered.)
760+ hours
More study hours = more practice, observation, and integration. Look for programs that go beyond the minimum. Skilled, consistent faculty you should be learning from a qualified educator who stays with you from start to finish-not from a mix of third-party instructors who's only qualification is their proximity to the host studio.
