scouts. The Houston Heat teams and players are expected to conduct themselves in a first-class manner, both on and off of the field. Our organization will continually stress good attitude, sportsmanship and the importance of mental composure to each player. These primary items include respect for the game, respect for your parents and teammates, and to prepare yourself academically to be able to play at the next level. The Heat organization wants players that realize the importance of preparation and have the desire to compete with the best against the best. The Heat coaching staffs are selected by our Board of Directors. No player’s parents are included in our official coaching staffs. The Houston Heat is a charter member of the Premier Baseball Association, an elite national organization that includes approximately 26 of the top select organizations in the country (primarily from Texas and the Midwest) and the Heat will provide two teams in each of the Premier National Championships for Juniors, Sophomores and Freshmen each summer. The Houston Heat is also affiliated with Texas Premier Baseball, Kyle Chapman, Houston Select, Houston Raiders, Austin Slam, Austin Wings, Arlington A's, Dallas Mustangs, South Texas Sliders, Ft Worth Cats, North Texas Titans, and the Twelve); and nationally with Perfect Game, the NABF and AABC. We are also linked strongly with USA Baseball, as typically the Heat will provide 1 or 2 players for the NABF national team participating in the USA Baseball Tournament of Stars in Cary, North Carolina, each summer. Former Heat players Scott Kazmir, Austin Creps, Homer Bailey, Kyle Russell and Cavan Biggio have previously been selected from this annual tournament to participate on a USA National Team. For each of our teams, the player fee's for each season will be reasonable and affordable and will include player uniforms, caps, insurance, tournament fees, league expenses and everything except the player's travel expenses. We are incorporated as a non-profit organization; therefore, none of our directors are paid a fee. Sponsorships and fund-raisers are used primarily to lower our player fees for the year.
