Defense and rebounding don’t just happen. They have to be taught. 🏀

We spend so much time developing offensive skills in youth basketball, but teaching players how to defend, box out, and rebound deserves just as much attention.

It’s not enough to tell a player to “get a rebound” or “play better defense.”

We have to teach them how.

Understanding positioning, making contact, finding and boxing out an opponent, pursuing the basketball, and finishing the possession are all skills that need to be taught, practiced, and reinforced.

At Take Over, we believe great coaching is about more than running drills. It’s about teaching players the details, helping them understand the game, and holding them accountable to the habits that lead to success.

The fundamentals matter. On both ends of the floor.

GIRLS BASKETBALL. ONE COMPLETE PATHWAY. 🏀

From their first time picking up a basketball to competing on the national circuit, Take Over is building a complete development pathway for girls from Pre-K through high school.

Our programs are designed to provide quality coaching, intentional player development, and opportunities to grow as athletes progress through the game.

Different ages. Different stages. One clear pathway.

Our goal isn’t just to build successful teams. It’s to develop complete basketball players who understand the game, compete with confidence, and are prepared for whatever comes next.

ONE PROGRAM. EVERY STEP.

Our 4th graders getting after it. 🏀🔥

This is where all those fundamentals start coming together — playing against pressure, making decisions, competing, learning from mistakes and gaining confidence on the court.

Still learning. Still developing. And having a whole lot of fun competing along the way.

The future is bright. 🔥

Great players all start with the basics. 🏀

At the younger ages, development is about learning the fundamentals, getting quality reps, building confidence and creating good habits from the beginning.

We want our girls to learn how to do something, understand why they’re doing it, and have fun getting better along the way.

Start with the fundamentals. Build from there.
