The City of Livonia is honored to announce the arrival of The Moving Wall Vietnam Veterans Memorial on Thursday, August 8, 2019. The es**rt of The Moving Wall will begin at 10:00 AM, south on Newburgh Road from 8 Mile. At 7 Mile, the es**rt will turn east from Newburgh and travel on 7 Mile to Merriman Road. At Merriman, the es**rt will turn south and continue to 5 Mile. Once at 5 Mile, the es**rt will turn west, traveling to Farmington Road. At Farmington Road, the es**rt will turn south. At Lyndon Avenue, which is one half-mile south of 5 Mile, the es**rt will turn west - arriving at Ford Field where the memorial will be assembled.

Intersections along the route will be closed in specific directions that are impacted by the es**rt. Additionally, there will be bystanders, first responders, and military veterans at intersections and along the route that will be paying respects as The Moving Wall passes. Please be patient and attentive. At this time, we do not know the length of the es**rt. We anticipate intersections being affected for about 15 - 30 minutes.

We will be sending out updates via Facebook and Nixle as the es**rt weaves its way through Livonia and arrives at its destination of Ford Field.
