9/11: A tribute to the victims and a salute to the brave individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice on a hijacked plane and the ones going into the burning buildings to try to save people.

What did we do for Labor Day? Well, we had a pretty hot, sweaty but much-needed practice! As you can tell, we put the labor into practice and were tired! 😉

Holiday weekend, most people relax, but not Lumbar and Hoochie! They went over to our friends Major Skate Shop and shredded some ramps. That is one way to get ready for our bout coming up September 13th. We travel to Ann Arbor!

Happy first day of school… oh wait, practice, we meant!! Things we did in session…

⚫️used Phenix as a hitting bag 😉
⚫️practiced lateral movement
And most importantly…. We had a great first practice back!

Happy first day of school for everyone!! But today is also Chemical City's first day back to practice after a long summer break! 🌞 I am sure everyone is as happy and smiley as Jsmac to be back on track, with the kids off to school! Let's start this 2026-2027 season!!

Have you missed us? We've all just been enjoying our summer break, but don't worry, we'll be back on the 24th for practice! 💪

In the meantime, a group of us was roaming the Bay City trails yesterday!!! We have many ways of staying upbeat and ready to come back during our off-season, but trail skating with new friends and faces is our top favorite activity!! Thank you, Ally, for hosting such a great event and letting our skaters join you! 💚💜🛼

Today is the start of August, but it's also Whipsy Daisy's birthday 🌼🎉!! Show this beautiful soul some birthday love! She is one of our solid blockers and is willing to fill in on teams if needed. And she has had the star a couple of times and does phenomenally well! We hope you have a great day today, Whips! 🎁 🎉

Today is the birthday of someone who has been behind the scenes but does a lot for the team already!!! 🎁 Let's give Mama Jeeves a big happy birthday 🎉🎊! She is married to our Jalapeño Business, one of our NSOs, a driver, and our team sticker maker!!! Happy birthday 🎂

Yesterday, Traverse City Roller Derby hosted their annual Cherry Rumble scrimmage! 🍒 We had a huge group show up to play and support all the derby things! Then, three of our new skaters got the chance to skate in the rookie bout (2 years or under of experience), and for two of them, it was their very first bout. Congratulations to Bonney Bandit and Trash Panda, who also won her first MVP blocker on her first bout! Let's give them huge congrats! 🎉🎊

On behalf of the entire Chemical City team, we are sending prayers and condolences to the downed skater from Lansing, and we all hope they have a smooth and fast recovery ❤️‍🩹!
