Minnesota Women's Hockey (Gopher) fans tracking our alumnae players in the PWHL, forwards Kelly Pannek and Taylor Heise have each signed 3-year standard player agreements to remain with the Minnesota Frost, protecting them from expansion team selection.
Protected player lists for all 8 existing teams after Phase 1 of the expansion process ⤵️

Another Minnesota Women's Hockey alumna has joined a WCHA Hockey program as a staff member, as Dani (Cameranesi) Brodzinski has been named Player Development & Scouting Coordinator for the St. Thomas Tommies Women's Hockey team (St. Thomas Athletics).
Dani remains 10th in Gopher history for both career points (201) and goals (93).
Congratulations on this new opportunity!!

Catching up on some International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) news...
The organization released the list of host nations -- along with host cities in a majority of the cases -- for several future tournaments, including the 2028 IIHF Women's Worlds. The Swiss will host that event, with the city (or cities) to be named later.
The 2026 Women's Worlds are still to be played in November, hosted by the Danish cities of Herning & Esbjerg. Quebec City, Quebec, Canada will host the 2027 edition of the tournament.
