No class on Labor Day

Thank you to everyone who came to our annual event the Uptown Swingout. Each and every one of you made the event what is was, and we are so grateful and happy with how it went.

Some things don't change (always a killer teaching line-up and great music) but we did tweak some things for 2026. Our int/adv track got a different class structure, we made a better lounge space in the Grain Exchange and moved the pizza party there, and we worked on giving each student more facetime with our elders. We hope you liked some of the changes.

Something we're trying to get better at behind the scenes each year is our staffing and we were so impressed with our great crew. If you: took care of our instructors and special guests, checked people in, made the contest happen, made sure the venues and dancers had what they needed, made our music great, and helped set up or breakdown our many spaces we could not have done it without you.

We are already looking towards the future and bringing you a great Uptown Swingout 2027. Until then, thank you.
