John Newcombe Tennis Ranch

The Ranch is all about tennis in a Team-Family environment! We’ve been fortunate to have the Dickey family visiting us for a number of years. While the parents are in the adult program, their kids are able to work and play hard in the summer camp! We love to see a whole family enjoying the game of tennis. We have both adult and junior camps running all summer, sign up now and bring the whole family! 🎾💪

Our first week of summer academy has been Rock Solid! Great job to all the players who have been working hard on their match play and fitness. Special shout out to all the players and coaches from Kerrville! 🎾💪

Our year round academy student, Max Frumin just had a great tournament weekend. Max joined the program and moved here with his family at the age of 10. He has risen to a top player in the nation in Boys 16s, and at 15 he’s already top 100 in the nation. Max is now over a 10 UTR and just made the semis at the recent L4 boys 18s. Coach PJ said, “I and we have had the pleasure of coaching and watching Max progress and grow for a number of years now. I have had the privilege and trust from him and his parents to work with him privately all these years and he’s like a little brother to me. He has so more to grow and achieve!” Great work, Max! 🎾💪

Today’s spotlight is on Alanna Ingalsbe! Alanna is ranked 22 in the country and is a 9.2 UTR. She recently won an L2 and is already rated a 5-star recruit. Coach PJ said Alanna is one of the most consistent and patient players he’s ever seen in the academy. She will wear you down through her defense and amazing variety, but her backhand has also become a huge weapon! Alanna is always coachable and loves to compete. We love having her in our academy and are so proud of her hard work! 🎾💪

Today’s spotlight is on Peter Choi! Peter joined our academy after attending summer academy in 2025 from Oklahoma. At only 15 years old, he’s been instrumental to our academy through his hard work and leadership throughout the year. Coach PJ said he has one of the most complete games he’s coached for a kid of that age. Peter has risen to 49 in the nation in Boys 16s and is a 10.6 UTR and 5 Star Recruit. We love getting to see our players improve in the summer and year-round academy! Great work, Peter! 🎾💪

As the school year wraps up we want to spotlight some of our academy students! Prateek Singla and his family moved all the way from California for him to board at Newks full time. Prateek has been here for over 5 years including summer academy. Coach PJ said Prateek is one of the hardest working, most disciplined players he’s ever seen go through the academy. He’s become stronger and elevated his game to another level as a senior and signed with St. Mary’s University. Since last year he has gone up 1.2 UTR points to reach a 10.4, reached 240 in the nation on Tennis Recruiting and recently placed 5th winning 5 matches at the L3 in Dallas. He works hard in the weight room and has put on 10-15 pounds of muscle in the last 3 months! Great job, Prateek!!! 🎾💪

Congratulations to Addison Gonzalez on winning the Level 6 in San Antonio over the weekend! Great job and keep up the hard work! We are so proud of you! 🎾🏆💪
