Our Halloween drop in partnership with Andre Dickerson is officially available for pre-order!

All orders MUST be placed online at https://www.teamtakeoverstore.com/oswego-jj by Tuesday, September 29.

A few important things before you order:

👻 SELECT “STORE PICKUP” AT CHECKOUT. This does not mean you are picking your order up from Team Takeover in Kingston, NY. It means Team Takeover will send your order to Oswego Jiu Jitsu with everyone else’s, and you will pick it up at OJJ when it arrives.

🎃 If you select shipping, your order will NOT come to OJJ. You’ll pay a shipping fee and Team Takeover will ship it directly to your house. If you choose that option, OJJ cannot provide updates on your order or shipping status.

💀 We cannot place orders for members on specialized drops like this. You must place your own order online before the deadline.

Two years of Oswego Jiu Jitsu.

On September 21, 2024, we opened the doors to OJJ. Two years later, more than 250 members call this place home.

None of this happens without OBC Athletics and Derrick Falcetti giving us a place to start two years ago. They gave OJJ a home when this was still just an idea we were trying to build, and we’ll always be grateful for that opportunity.

A huge thank you as well to Ben Tallini and everyone at Haven Jiu Jitsu for their support, guidance, and friendship along the way. Ben and the team at Haven been an important part of OJJ’s story from the beginning, and we’re grateful to have them in our corner.

Since then, we’ve expanded our mat space three times, built a kids program from the ground up, added wrestling, MMA, women’s, homeschool, toddler, morning and daytime programs, and brought world-class athletes and coaches to Oswego for seminars and instruction.

We’ve won team titles, stood on IBJJF podiums, promoted new belts, watched people compete for the first time, and watched people who started with zero experience become leaders on our mats.

But what I’m most proud of isn’t 250 members, medals, trophies, or how many times we’ve expanded. It’s the culture.

People work hard here. They take care of each other. They welcome new people. They compete hard and want to see the people around them succeed. That’s what OJJ has become.

It also happens to be Coach Doug’s birthday. Anyone who spends time at OJJ knows how much Doug puts into this place and how big a part he’s become of what we’ve built. Happy birthday, Dougie.

To our members, coaches, parents, families, friends, training partners, sponsors, and the local businesses and organizations that have supported us: thank you. Every person who has believed in what we’re building has played a part in getting us here.

250+ members. Three mat expansions. Two incredible years.

And we’re just getting started.

The boys represented OJJ well tonight at Gladius Fights 50.

Ryan, Kaleb, and Doug all pushed a fast pace and stayed on the attack for the entirety of their matches. Triangles, armbars, guillotines, kimuras, and constant pressure. Across three 8 minute bouts, not a single submission was attempted on any of our guys.

Unfortunately, all three matches ended in draws, but we definitely showed everyone what OJJ is about tonight.

When you can put your opponent in a position where all they can do is defend themselves for 8 minutes, that says a lot about the work being put in back at the gym. I’d call that a win for what we’re building at OJJ and, more importantly, for Ryan, Kaleb, and Doug and the heart they put into their training.

Proud of these three and the way they represented OJJ tonight.

Well done, gents. Tonight was a ton of fun.

Thank you for putting together an excellent seminar with champion .

I was very happy to learn some new techniques as well as reinforce a lot of key details that I show when I’m teaching our students.

Thank you Mason, Joe and all the other members for some tough sparring rounds. We are all better because of it.
