Spoke with a SEPTA guy who didn't know of any large street works along the route ... but the https://septa-g-trolley-tracker.netlify.app/ has been showing Bus Only nearly every day, esp. on weekends. Planning an ad hoc trolley linear event ("Meet Me on the G" or some such)... but can't plan it if trolleys keep being no-shows.

THERE IS NO SHORTAGE of videos showing us how to blast our dirty Brompton drive-trains clean with any number of powerful chemical solvent products. All of these have one thing in common: scary warnings in small print. FURTHERMORE, such solvents can stick around, attacking lubricants and our lungs. We prefer to brush and gently scrape crud off the chain /sprockets/ chainring, following up with various milder cleaners and our never-ending supply of donated rags.
