Thanks to everyone who came out for coach Zach’s oly lifting class!
For everyone who couldn’t attend, here’s a short review from coach Zach:
There were 3 cues I highlighted today:
1. “Pinch your purse”
2. “Pull up your pants”
3. “Uppercut the bar”
By “pinching your purse” that translates to keeping tension in our lats, shoulders and core through the whole lift.
When we think about “pulling up your pants” what that is doing is keeping our barbell close to our body the entire time through our lift.
When we think about the contact with the bar, think “Uppercut the bar” with our hips so we can drive the bar up to our receiving position.
If you think about these three cues before we lift this will help keep the bar close and make the weight feel light!
Also fantastic job to those who showed up! Absolutely nailed these cues!!
Our Macro Nutrition program is designed for people seeking shed weight, while prioritizing balanced nutrition and achieving their fitness goals.
Daryn jumped onto our Macro Program after she had her son, and this is what she has to say about the program:
“I was about 6 months postpartum when I decided to do the Macro program. I wanted to focus on rest and recovery for a few months before focusing on aesthetics, as having a baby obviously changes your body a lot. When I felt ready, I dived into it with Taylor and she kept me accountable, encouraged me and walked me through the whole process. I felt so good literally after only one week. We talked about fitness goals and she pointed me in the right direction and gave me extra work to do outside of my normal workout schedule, and that was so helpful too! It was so fun to start feeling great and more like myself! I would definitely recommend this program, it gave me tools and insight on how to maintain a healthy weight and balanced diet even after the program.”
