We bring along good all-around horses! ❤️🐎
Sparrow was a rock star at the Summer Series show at Fox Valley Saddle Association yesterday, winning Poles Equitation champion with his part-leaser, Stella, and Low Jumper champion with Victoria (Pics at left).
Sparrow started the jumper divisions this year, building on schooling courses through 3’0” at home as part of our basic jump-training program. We have taken him cross country schooling., gaming, and ranch sorting.
His current main activity is teaching beginner riders and new show riders…but this cool little horse can do lots of things!
And he has a huge and endearing personality too ❤️❤️

More fun and ribbons at the Summer Series at Lamplight yesterday - this time in the jumper ring.
Queen Meave, ridden by Victoria, won the training jumper and placed third in the lows.
And Monica rode smooth and speedy rounds to ribbon in both her classes with Chet, including the classic.! 👏👏
Continuing on with the green horses, Panda showed in the jumper ring for the first time. And Nels joined us with Bagel - putting in a nice steady controlled round for Bagel’s first time out this year.
It was great to see and catch up with so many people this weekend! Looking forward to the next show in the Summer Series at Fox Valley in a couple of weeks.

Super day at the Summer Series show at Lamplight yesterday, starting with a championship in the hunter flat classes for Sparrow, with first-time show rider Daisy, and a clean round in the jumpers for our pony Dotty - also at her first horse show ❤️🐎

Sorting through drawers and found a few pics from back in the day. Showing Geppetto in the jumpers at Lamplght, schooling our shire horse at the barn, jumping Benjamin Bean in St. Louis, and showing Tiblow in dressage at Lamplight. Each horse started with us green, and each horse represents a story and a unique path.
Headed back to Lamplight next week!

Anyone that wants to join us, sign up with the Oswegoland Park District, or sign up the day of the race itself. Walkers are welcome. It’s hilly and rocky - bring good shoes! We will be doing either ice cream or a tailgate picnic afterwards.
