Anyone that wants to join us, sign up with the Oswegoland Park District, or sign up the day of the race itself. Walkers are welcome. It’s hilly and rocky - bring good shoes! We will be doing either ice cream or a tailgate picnic afterwards.

Adding to our team! Meet Dotty.
We are just starting her over fences and she will be joining our show team this summer - on both the local H/J and schooling dressage circuits. Dotty is already demonstrating a lead change and was trail ridden for the first time last week.
At Vale Edge we produce horses and ponies with preparation and experiences across various disciplines and activities.
Dotty will be available for in-house show lease to a qualified rider this summer.

Ares frames a deer between his ears during an evening ride at the farm yesterday. 🦌🦌🦌
It was a busy day of training rides and lessons, and we were delighted to welcome several new riders and their families to our May session “Introduction to Horses and Riding.”
The horse world is a wonderful channel into a lifetime of continued learning, outdoor activity, participation in sport, cultural experiences, and care for horses, animals, people, and nature. Parents and participants - thank you for coming! We hope you had a wonderful time and look forward to welcoming you back.

Yesterday morning our elderly, very handsome, and much-loved barn cat, Garfield, passed away. He had lived at the farm for many years, and for the last few we have been his people. I loved being able to take care of him in his older years and it was a privilege to earn his trust. I will miss him very much ❤️💔

What a great time we had at the first show of the 2026 Summer Series this past weekend!
Ellanore and Emelia showed for the first time, riding Sparrow and Ares.
And Evelyn successfully moved up to the 2’0” divisions with Teddy. Both Teddy and Sparrow also won ribbons in the jumpers with Victoria.
All three riders demonstrated good horsemanship by taking great care of their horses over the weekend ❤️ They also found time to take advantage of the many other learning opportunities available at the show 👩🎓
These riders work hard on their riding and horse care skills. But when I asked one of them for her analysis of her jumping round, she simply replied “FUN!” Horses and riding can be enjoyed for a lifetime…so there’s no better answer than that. 😊
Thanks to Kim Goodman, Trillion, and the Summer Series for a fun, well organized, and welcoming horse show.
The next show in the series is May 30-31 at Johnson Equestrian Center.
