On behalf of everyone at the Port Clinton Wrestling Club, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Port Clinton Eagles 2295 for their generous donation to our program.

Congratulations to Piper Mominee on a great showing at her first wrestling tournament this weekend at Tiffin Calvert, where she placed 3rd!

Piper wrestled up a weight class to get more mat time and earned the first pin of her career. We’re so proud of her hard work and determination!💪

Team Ohio went 4-0 in pool play for folkstyle duals putting us in the Gold bracket. Unfortunately, we got matched up in round 1 with the soon to be champs, and ultimately took 3rd place out of 20 teams going 5-1 for the day! I went 3-3 in duals, losing only to state champions. Freestyle team dual is today, more updates coming soon. Who wants to see some action?!

Outstanding day for our Port Clinton wrestlers at the NUWAY Combat Life National Championships (The Rumble), competing against some of the nation’s best with wrestlers representing 30+ states!

Congratulations to Reagan Laird and Torrie Hatley on earning 3rd-place finishes in the Girls High School Division!

Also, congratulations to Evelyn Greener for an incredible performance, competing in both the girls and boys divisions. Evelyn finished 3rd in the girls division and 4th in the boys division. What an accomplishment!

A huge shoutout as well to Nora Greener, who battled hard all tournament and came up just a few points short of placing in her final match. The effort, grit, and determination she showed never went unnoticed.

We’re incredibly proud of all four girls for the way they represented our program. Keep putting in the work, the future is bright! 🤼‍♀️🔴⚪️

REMINDER
No open mat tonight. We have wrestlers participating in the Rumble today through Sunday.

For the remainder of July, open mat will be on Mondays only from 6:30p - 7:30p. After July, we will most likely cut open mat all together with football ramping up...

A huge shoutout to Nora Greener, who will be representing Team Ohio’s 12U Team as the #4 seed heading into the dual tournament. What an incredible opportunity! go make us proud!

We’re also excited to see Piper Mominee compete in her very first wrestling tournament. Every wrestler remembers their first tournament and we’re proud to see you take that next step.

Good luck as well to all of our other boys and girls competing this weekend who aren’t pictured due to football and other extracurricular activities.
