BYU men’s racquetball wins first national championship in program history After years of coming close, BYU men’s racquetball has its first national championship in program history.

History Made. 🏆

For the first time ever, the BYU Men’s Racquetball Team are NATIONAL CHAMPIONS.

It was a historic year for the BYU Men’s Racquetball Team. Along with earning the men’s team title for the first time in the history of BYU racquetball, our men brought home 3 singles titles 2 doubles titles and all top 6 players earning all-American status.

Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it. 🥇

This past week the BYU racquetball team participated in the USA Racquetball Intercollegiate Championships at the University of Minnesota. The Cougars walked away as the second best overall team in the nation. The Women’s team took third overall and the entire team was named All-Americans. Kaitlin Etherington was also honored with a special Sportsmanship award from USA Racquetball. Go Cougars!!!

As we approach Nationals next week here’s an interesting fact about one of the keys to our program’s success over the years

Another successful year of BYU Racquetball is in the books!

BYU took 2nd place overall at the Intercollegiate Racquetball Championships at NC State in North Carolina. The Women’s team also took home 2nd place with the Men’s team snagging 4th place.

The team also came home with 4 National Champions and 11 individuals earned All-American honors during the tournament!

Thank you to all that participated in our tryouts this morning. You each played very well and we are excited by the level of ability seen so far this year.

Hello everyone! We hope you are all well! It's time to tryout for the 2021-2022 racquetball team! We will hold tryouts October 4, 6, and 8th at 6:00 am at the courts in the RB. All 3 days are required for those trying out. As a reminder, you must be a full time student during both fall and winter semesters to be eligible to be on the team. Our first official practice will be October 11. Hope to see you October 4!!
