NSCF is taking on the R.A.D® Acid Athletics Challenge — and we’re giving away 3 FREE pairs of R.A.D® training shoes 👟🔥
👉Instead of running a single event, we’re opening this up as a week-long challenge. You’ll have the week to complete the workout and submit your score.👈

🔥KIDS SUMMER BOOTCAMP IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER!!🔥
Back for the third year is our CrossFit Kids Summer Bootcamp💥
Here’s what your kid can expect: Six weeks of functional fitness that is actually FUN. No boring drills, no sitting around — real movement and real challenge! We’re building strength, conditioning, coordination and confidence every day, in an age and skill appropriate format.
Here’s why they’re going to love it: Because their friends are going to be there!! Because they’re going to do things they didn’t think they could do. Because there is something about picking up a weight for the first time or finishing a workout you wanted to quit that hits different at this age — and they will not stop talking about it.
Here’s why we’re different: Most summer programs for this age group are either too easy or too intimidating. We hit the sweet spot — challenging enough to build real mental toughness, coached by people who genuinely love working with this age group and know how to make hard things feel achievable and fun.

We’ve got some OGs up next as Members of the Month. Scott and Jen, you guys rock! 🤘
“Scott and Jen started CrossFit in 2010 at CrossFit Redding (CFR). They joined the community at Northstate CrossFit in 2020, after the closure of CFR. Upon initially starting CrossFit and changing to a Paleo diet, Scott experienced a 40-pound weight loss. Skeptical that Scott was joining a cult, Jen soon joined after seeing Scott’s results. CrossFit classes became a habit from there. CrossFit helped Scott maintain fitness through his law enforcement career and, together, Scott and Jen still love to exercise together; so much so, they can often be heard “encouraging” each other during partner workouts. They both retired in 2025 and now spend their time enjoying their hobbies of hiking, biking, paddleboarding, and visiting other CrossFit gyms while traveling. Scott’s parents, in their 70’s, regularly attend CrossFit Coeur d’Alene. “My dad still beats me on workouts,” Scott laughingly said. Their daughter, Maddy, is a L2 CrossFit coach, who now attends Boise State University in Idaho and has started competitive Olympic weightlifting. Their son, Brenden, a U.S. Army veteran, is now attending college locally. “CrossFit is a great community. We have made so many friends, who are all like-minded—albeit a little crazy, too—wanting to be fit and enjoy all that life has to offer,” they said. Scott and Jen added, “The most common misconception is that you must be in shape to start CrossFit. Any workout can be scaled to your fitness level and all the coaches at Northstate will help you scale, so you can get a good workout in, at your specific ability level. The hardest part is getting your body into the gym. The rest is programmed for you!” Scott and Jen look forward to many more years at Northstate and continuing to be a part of this great community!”

What does that mean exactly?
We are now offering Hyrox training classes as part of our regular weekly schedule of CrossFit classes!
📅Tuesdays at 10 am
📆Thursdays at 5:30 pm
Hyrox is a race-style format of endurance and strength training that is currently at the forefront of the competitive fitness space.
We are very excited to offer this training format for any athletes who are looking for a new and different type of challenge, whether they are training for a Hyrox event or simply want to improve their overall fitness!
