Rocky Mountain rc raceway formally IRCR is Utah's premier indoor radio controlled dirt off-road / dirt oval race track and Performance RC Shop.
We also race onroad seasonally in the parking lot. Intermountain R/C Raceway is located in Salt Lake City, UT near the Oquirrah mountains just south of highway 21. For over 27 years, the Intermountain Raceway has been the premier indoor off-road track in Utah. Besides the indoor off-road dirt track, we also have a recently re-surfaced outdoor on-road track. LOSI NASCAR POINTS SERIES IS UNDERWAY! 🏁
Come out and race with us!
We know there was some confusion on Stock vs. Mod class, so here is the clarification going forward:
If you have a Mod car, you can still come race! Just make sure you let us know before racing starts that it is a Mod car.
As a reminder, any out-of-box modification makes the car a Mod class car. If it is not box-stock, it will run in Mod.
The championship will be 6 total points races with 1 dropped race. Points races will run every other weekend, but we will still run LOSI NASCAR every weekend.
The next points race will be on the 20th.
If a points race is going to be on the oval, we will run a non-points oval race the week before so everyone has a chance to practice. Same thing for on-road or any other layout.
Congrats to everyone after Race #1, and thank you to everyone who came out and raced with us. Let’s keep building this class! 🏁

2WD TRAXXAS CLASS!
Starting now, on each off-road race day, if we have enough drivers, we will be running a 2WD Traxxas Class!
This class is meant to be a fun, simple, and affordable way to get more people on the track. Bring out your 2WD Traxxas and come race with us!
Basic idea for the class:
• 2WD Traxxas-based vehicles
• Keep it simple and beginner-friendly
• Great class for newer racers, families, and anyone wanting close racing without needing a full race kit
• Class will run when we have enough entries on race day
If you have a 2WD Traxxas sitting at home, this is your reason to bring it out and race!
More details will be handled at the track, but the goal is simple: keep it fun, keep it close, and get more people racing.

We are kicking off a 6-race LOSI NASCAR Points Series starting this Saturday! We will offset oval and onroad each points day. Starting with oval!
📅 6 total points races 1 dropped
🏆 Races every other Saturday
🔥 Points count toward the overall series championship!
Main Event Points Breakdown:
1st — 25 points
2nd — 22 points
3rd — 19 points
4th — 16 points
5th — 13 points
6th — 10 points
7th — 7 points
8th — 4 points
9th — 2 points
10th — 1 point
Bonus Points:
TQ — +1 point
Fast Lap During Main — +1 point
Maximum points per race: 27 points
