Seed Scams are everywhereee I haven't counted myself but on *some* platforms there are more scams than legitimate listings for houseplant seeds. Being out $5 from a scam purchase may not affect you much personally but don't support these scammers!! They subsist off of the sheer volume of purchases so don't buy from them and make sure to do your research to see if a seller is legitimate 💯🌱

These roots are fun to look at but the dread of trying to detangle them quickly sets in 🥲 I was under a time limit here, my baby was about to wake up from her nap so I needed to move this Monstera quick!! How'd I do? 🌱

I haven't picked up this Monstera seedling for a while and the roots took me by surprise 😅 mom life has me just barely keeping up with plant care so I end up missing some signs I'd have noticed before! Either way, it's time to report this Monstera baby! 💚🌱

Don't fall for the scams! I get it, it's exciting to think you can spend $5 on some seeds and grow some truly exotic and beautiful houseplants but that's just not realistic. Honestly I'm surprised the kind of photos these sellers put out for various plants that look obviously fake to me, but to the beginner just getting into plants, they just look like really cool plants that you can grow for a very low price! Just remember, every time you purchase these fake seeds, you're supporting these scammers and their operation. Don't give them your money and take the time to look for credible sellers instead!

Chronic underwater-ers I'm looking at you! If you're like me and always forget to water your plants, but still love to garden and grow from seed, you need to try growing some of these plants! Just a heads up, the seeds and seedlings actually need a good amount of moisture(give them the full setup with a humidity dome and heat mat!) but as they grow older, they need more light and less water💦 I can't tell you how many tropical seedlings I've killed while my succulent babies trudge along waiting for me to remember to water them again 😅🌱

Nothing like a before and after to see how much a seedling changes when it grows up! Ponytail Palms are slow growers but they're worth the wait 🥰🌱 I've been talking more lately about the drought-tolerant houseplants because we're expecting a hot summer this year 😥 so I may be melting but plants like these will be thriving!
