🌊 Gulf Conditions Update! 🤿

Missy headed out for a couple of dives on Wednesday, October 14, and here’s the latest report!

🐠 First dive – 9 miles off Anna Maria Island (AMI)

- 🌡️ Water temperature: 82°
- 👀 Visibility: 40 feet, both looking out and across the bottom
- 🪼 Spotted a Pink Meanie at the dive site!

Between 8 and 9 miles offshore, moon jellies and Pink Meanies were also spotted near the surface. Keep your eyes open out there!

🌊 Second dive – Around 6 miles offshore
Visibility dropped to about 15 feet with an outgoing tide.

Florida's 2026–2027 stone crab season opens October 15. I verified these recreational limits with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC):
Minimum claw size: 2⅞ inches
Daily bag limit: 1 gallon of claws per person
Boat limit: 2 gallons of claws per vessel, whichever limit is less
Season: October 15 – May 1
Only legal-size claws may be harvested, and harvesting claws from egg-bearing crabs is prohibited.
