The SPFFA ensuring the public' safety.

Our mission is to organize and negotiate with the Village of Schaumburg to provide its Residents, Business Owners, and Visitors a highly motivated, customer oriented Fire & Medical service. The Schaumburg Fire Department along with the SPFFA is a team of professionals that serve with excellence, dedication, and pride; who are committed to saving lives, protecting property, and improving the quality of life for our residents, business owners, and visitors; by providing rapid and reliable services in all emergency and non emergency activities. The SFD/SPFFA personnel will accomplish our mission by participating in this community, providing progressive and comprehensive services, and striving to efficiently utilize all resources to meet the needs of our community. Our manpower includes the Fire Chief, 2 Deputy Fire Chiefs, 1 Fire Marshal, 1 EMS coordinator, 1 Logistics Coordinator, 1Training Director, 1 Public Education Director. 3 Battalion Chiefs, 5 Captains, 16 Lieutenants, and 113 Firefighters . Our manpower is used to provide 24 hour service manning 4 Engines, 2 Ladder Trucks, 1 Heavy Rescue Squad, 4 Advanced Life Support Ambulances and 1 Life Rescue Boat.

Congratulations to the foursome representing the Schaumburg Police Department on winning the IAFF L4092 Golf Outing!

(Yes, it genuinely pains us to write this, but we have to give credit where credit is due. 😜)

We’d also like to extend a big thank you to Fox Run Golf Links for their hospitality and for helping make another L4092 Golf Outing a great event. We appreciate everyone who came out and made the day a success!

Congratulations to Arlington Heights Firefighters L-3105 on taking home the championship!

A huge thank you to all of the teams who came out and participated in this year’s charity softball tournament. We appreciate everyone who helped make it a great day and supported a great cause. We hope to see everyone back next year!

Twenty-five years ago today, hundreds of brave first responders ran toward danger without hesitation, making the ultimate sacrifice to save total strangers. Today, on the 25th anniversary of September 11th, we pause to honor their incredible courage, selfless sacrifice, and enduring legacy.

Thousands more, from all over the nation, continue to suffer crippling health issues directly related to the rescue and recovery efforts made in the months following.

We’ll never forget the brave men and women who courageously answered the call on 9/11/2001. Their acts of heroism will always have our greatest respect and admiration.

Congratulations to Candidate Konrad Turek on his graduation from the Northeastern Illinois Public Safety Training Academy (NIPSTA) last week.

Candidate Turek will now return to Schaumburg to complete his department orientation before being assigned to shift, where he will begin serving the residents and visitors of Schaumburg.

Please join us in wishing Candidate Turek well as he begins his service with the department.
