Flying season is here, and we’re excited to start sharing some of the new gear we have lined up for 2026! Last year we announced our collaboration with German kite maker Spiderkites, and now we’re back with the newest addition to that lineup: the Vertex Bol.
The 4-foot wide Vertex Bol is a playful companion to the larger 6.5-foot Brasington Bol we introduced last year. Bright colors and a bold black-and-white spiral at the center make it easy to spot from across the field or down the beach - an eye-catching way to mark your spot wherever you like to fly.
Anchor the bol to something sturdy and watch as it transforms the breeze into flowing motion that’ll attract a crowd wherever you fly. Fly one solo, or pair two or three together to create playful bouncing interactions that add an extra layer of fun and drama!

Prism Kite Technology
Bringing modern technology to an ancient art Flight is the ultimate escape. There are times when we welcome the pull of gravity anchoring our feet to the earth.
But take a kite in your hands, send it skyward to feel the connection with the wind’s subtle currents and you become a different being. Stress, deadlines and the work-a-day world melt away, leaving you with peace and perspective you can only find in the sky. Prism was founded in 1992 by a couple of guys who fell in love with the wind. We started off making high-tech, dual-line stunt kites when the
It’s still awfully cold out here, but we’re willing to bundle up if the right breeze comes along 🥶
Have you checked out these 9-foot Taz deltas from designer Robert Brasington yet? They’re big, bold, and super steady in the sky, each with three ribbon tails that make them look a bit like jellyfish in flight. Totally mesmerizing in person - definitely a sight worth braving the cold for!
The newest super ultralight in our lineup is ready to launch, and it’s a real stunner 🤩
Meet the Synthesis SUL, a fresh light-wind evolution of the Synthesis featuring our new Prismatex mylar. In the air, the holographic leading-edge panels burst into glittering rainbow sparkles, but the real magic is how it flies: super responsive, laser precise, and perfectly balanced for buttery smooth light-wind maneuvers. Float through stalls, flat spins, and slow, controlled slides even when the rest of your collection is grounded. The perfect way to turn those “should we even bother?” sessions into actual flying time.
Available now in 6 colors to match the standard Synthesis in your collection. Special order through your favorite kite shop today, or visit prismkites.com to shop and check out even more photos and videos of the Synthesis SUL in action.
Special thanks to our friend Ryan Wild, whose flying and video clips are featured in this post.

The best Christmas ornaments are the ones that remind us of the things we love - and for our fliers, that means kites! This set of laser-cut acrylic ornaments features three kite designs: the classic 1996 V***r (crystal white), the Hypnotist (neon yellow), and our newest light-wind kite, the Aether SUL (ice blue). Laser-cut from vibrant acrylic right here in our Seattle studio, they’re the perfect way to showcase your love for flying this holiday season. Buy a set for yourself, or pair one with a kite or gift card to create an extra-special present for the flier on your list.
If you haven’t grabbed a set already, we’ve also brought back last year’s ornaments! This set includes the original Radian from 1992 (neon orange), the ever-popular Quantum 2.0 (neon yellow), and our experimental 2022 release, the Synthesis SE (ice blue).

Mark and Justin made a short stop in Iceland on the way home from Europe last month. Weather in Iceland is notoriously fickle, but they got lucky with a few hours of northern light and flyable winds. The landscapes in Iceland are breathtaking - we’ll definitely need to go back with more kites and cameras! Who else has flown kites in Iceland?
This is the Zenith 7 in the all-new Plasma colorway! The first production run just arrived and they're available online now through authorized dealers and prismkites.com 👍
