The weather sure is changing quickly around here. Are you prepared??

CBS is stocking up on the cold and wet weather gear you'll need to get through the changing of the season. One thing you can do now? Sign up for our Wax Chain Club. You purchase two chains, one that lives at CBS and one that gets put on your bike. Your chain is ultrasonically cleaned and stripped of all contaminants, then treated with a hot-wax application for maximum efficiency and durability. When it's time for another treatment, simply swap your chain and we re-wax it.

$150 initial buy-in and $25 per chain swap. Perfect for the commuter, the hardcore year round rider, or the rider who wants to make sure their drive train lasts forever.

When inspo meets Lightning McQueen. Why? Because it's cool.

The incredibly talented at helped bring this already amazing Paramo Integrated to life. No idea too wild. Just a conversation between a client and an artist that resulted in one of the most recognizable bikes we've ever assembled at CBS.

How did the Q36.5 hold up after our Head of Marketing’s biggest ride to date? Her words… “flawless.”

“I was kitted out in the Gregarious Pro bibshorts and the Dottore Pro jersey. The chamois is where these stood out for me. I have more meat on my legs than the average road cyclist and finding kit that protects through high-friction zones has always been a challenge. The Gregarious Pro chamois is positioned and shaped in a way that actually accounts for that. No inner thigh irritation, no adjusting mid ride, no saddle sores. Just flawless.

As for the jersey, it stayed where it was supposed to the whole ride. Breathable enough that I wasn’t overheating once the sun came out.“

More on day 2, coming soon!

Why do we keep coming back to the same climb? That's the question set out to answer when they designed the Serena, a hand-built steel climbing bike from El Retiro, Colombia, that just earned a Builders' Choice Award at the .bike show in Portland this weekend. Voted on by the other custom framebuilders at the show, it's the ultimate peer recognition in the handmade bike world.

There's a difference between attacking a mountain and floating through it. The Serena is built for the space in between. It's fast when you want to chase, quiet when you want to listen, custom-drawn Columbus Spirit tubes, custom geometry to every rider, Campagnolo Super Record 13-speed, and a paintscheme called Climate Gradient that translates the atmosphere of a Colombian climb into color.

We're proud to offer the Scarab Serena as a custom bike project at Cascade Bicycle Studio. Tap the link in bio to learn more about the Serena and start your build.
