May is National Drowning Prevention Month! 💙
As summer gets closer, it’s the perfect time to remember that water safety starts with awareness.
Three things everyone should know about drowning prevention this summer ⬇️💙
1. Drowning is often silent.
It usually does not look like the movies, which is why active supervision around water is so important.
2. Swim lessons save lives.
Building confidence, learning survival skills, and practicing skills like back floats can make a huge difference by helping kids learn how to rest, breathe, and stay calm in the water.
3. Floaties are not a substitute for supervision.
Parents and guardians should always stay alert and within reach around young swimmers.
Water safety starts long before an emergency happens. This National Drowning Prevention Month, help us spread awareness and keep our swimmers safer this summer ☀️🌊
