The skaters did a great job yesterday at the Fall Exhibition! Thank you to everyone who came out to support skating in Springfield. The next exhibition will be on Saturday, December 12th with shows at 2 pm and 6 pm.

Want to capture your skater's journey on the ice? JVFSC holds a sports photo session once a year. Each skater receives 3 digital images. Photos are taken on the ice in front of a white backdrop.

Way to go Elaina!

In partnership with Children's Mercy and Mercy Hospital Springfield, the Springfield-Greene County Park Board, is excited to bring a new, bi-weekly campaign that highlights local youth athletes in Parks!

The weeks Athlete of the Week, is Elaina Bowden a competitive figure skater at Brightspeed Ice Park. Elaina consistently demonstrates exceptional effort in every practice, while also bringing a positive attitude that is impossible not to notice. She is always encouraging her teammates, celebrating successes, while also helping create the most positive and supportive team environment. Elaina's dedication, sportsmanship and enthusiasm for skating shines through everyday, making her a wonderful representative of our skating community.

Fall Exhibition is coming up this Saturday at Brightspeed Ice Park! For some skaters this is an opportunity to perform their programs in front of an audience before they compete the next weekend. For others, it's an opportunity to skate a fun seasonal program. Come out and cheer them on! Free admission!

The adult clinic was a success. Everyone might be a bit sore but also got to try new things! Thank you to the Brightspeed Ice Park coaches for doing a great job with teaching the classes.
