Jordan Valley Figure Skating Club

Membership in JVFSC includes a full membership in USFS. Skaters need an Aspire or Full membership for the first level of testing and a full membership for second and subsequent levels. Additional benefits include discounts on test sessions held by JVFSC, a discount on your second event entry at our competition and reduced fees for club events like sports photos. USFS memberships (Learn to Skate, Aspire and Full memberships) all expire on June 30th regardless of when the membership was purchased.

Last night we celebrated! It's been a great year! For on-ice accomplishments, we were celebrating the 32 tests passed. Skaters completed tests in singles, skating skills and dance. Special recognition for Nicolette Zangara who passed the highest level (gold) of Adult Skating Skills. We also celebrated the off-ice accomplishments of the college and high school graduates. Special thanks to our outgoing board members and volunteer of the year. Looking forward to a great 2026-2027 club year.

2026 Skate Tulsa Home For Duet/Trios, Inflatables, Ensembles, and Adaptive Unified Partner Showcase events, you must register using the "TEAMS" button. One person gives the team a name, indicates the number of team members, registers and pays for the entire team and then rosters the skaters on the team.

What will this change mean for skaters? Under the 6.0 system, skaters would see their placement i.e. 1st, 2nd, 3rd but not a score. With CJS scoring, skaters will see 3 scores- technical, skating skills, and composition/presentation for programs with music. The scores go from .25 to 10.00. Those scores are combined to determine an overall score.

The rink doesn't have freestyle or public skates tomorrow. Take a break! If you haven't checked out the rink's new calendar yet-there are often changes in the summer so check it out. New to skating and not sure what freestyle sessions are? Those sessions are for practicing figure skating skills along with figure skating/hockey skate skill lessons.

What does that mean? USFS memberships run from July 1-June 30th of each year. That means if you have a LTS, Aspire or Full membership with US Figure Skating that it will expire at the end of the month. JVFSC encourages new members to join the club and for all members to renew during June so that their membership with USFS stays up to date. We have several membership types including-
Introductory memberships- this is a discounted 1 year membership for skaters & families who have not had a Full or Aspire membership previously. There are introductory membership options for adult skaters and for skaters under 18.
Aspire to JVFSC memberships- these are for families who are transitioning from the Aspire program/membership into full membership.
Adult memberships for those over 18
Professional memberships for coaches
Collegiate memberships for skaters in college (4 year membership)
