Why Depth Jumps?
These are a great jump to include for weightlifters as it mimics the unique down-up-down pattern in the jerk that isn’t found in the sn**ch or clean.
These are also one of the most demanding jump variations you can do. I recommend only using them once a week for a 3-week block every now and then.
If you are new to jumps, don’t start with these, but use pogo hops, vertical jumps, and tuck jumps to build your capacity first.
Technique Focus:
•Try to spend as little time as possible on the ground
•Practice your arm swing through each level
•Don’t sink deeper into your landing between boxes

I’m incorporating minimal jumps in my warm ups 2x a week and 1 “Athlete” day per week. On athlete day doing about 6-10 challenging sets like this while my knees and ankles get used to the new demands.
