Coda was the best he’s ever been going to a show and was completely chill just being with me and no other horses that he knows, but then he was an absolute menace on the ride home in the trailer, which he never is. Guess he had to have his say at some point. 🤪

Sriracha being the bestest girl on her birthday this week. Thank you to Delia for the help. It was this time of year on Promise’s birthday (7 years ago? How old is Promise now? ) that I gave Nevaeh a pony ride on her. I’m a big pony ride the young horses kind of trainer. Baby steps! I don’t have the nerves for myself or anyone else to get hurt.
Another part of training a young horse is teaching them to ground drive. I always do this off the halter so that they don’t hurt their mouth. It also gets them used to things moving around their body and legs.
What have we been up to these days here at MCRC? Well, certainly not keeping up with social media! I have not been doing a good job of taking pictures or videos. But, we’ve been up to lots of baby training, dressage shows, trail riding, and working equitation. Much more on some working equitation fun coming up soon!
