David and Kim's Juke Joint

For the first time in this location, we will teach St. Louis S**g for the beginning lesson! The dance originated in the 1930's in St Louis Missouri. The S**g has a long history in St. Louis, first in swing, then rock and roll, jazz, jump blues, and R&B. Energetic 8 count dance that you will be using immediately! For Intermediate 1 and 2, we will continue our annual tradition of focusing on SoCal Smooth Style Lindy Hop in honor of upcoming Camp Hollywood!

Super proud of our students and the dedication they put in to the Student Showcase! It was a pleasure to introduce Lindy hop and Swing to the family and friends of the dancers. The last few years we have set out to teach our students some of the original choreography of the original Lindy Hoppers, along with other routines and elements they let us know they are interested in learning. Chopped catering will be out front your yummies, so bring extra cash or Venmo if you want to grab some food. The menu will be posted in the "discussion" section as it's available.
18 & over or guests 15 to 17 years old allowed when accompanied by an adult. Students that are in the show can have children of any age attend this special night as long as they are accompanied by an adult while you perform.

Tonight we are part of the downtown 60's block party on the 300 block of Main Street! Parking on Palm is the closest, or you can park by the Juke Joint one black over. It looks like we start at 5:30, wrapping up by 6:30 . We will be teaching an easy , fun line dance with a 60's twist. Next month we will be downtown on August 26th at California street with a 2 hour session bringing you some Charleston. And it's free!

What's going on in July? We have two special events in addition to our regular class series. We have teamed up with the City of Ventura's Summer rewind Boogie Nights! Join us on July 15th Downtown a6 5:30 pm on the 300 block of Main Street ! We will teach a short lesson solo 60's lesson for their 60's themed night, and a band will play brought to you by the city of Ventura. And It's Free! On the 28th of July, we will have our first ever FREE Open House and Student Showcase and Dance! You'll find all the flyers below.
