The TAMA Dojo

Hello TAMA family! We are excited to share that we will be having a series of “Friday Fun Nights” throughout July and August this year! Each event will run from 6-8 pm and will have a different theme! We will have snacks and drinks available at each event as well!

Our first event will be Friday, July 17th, from 6-8 pm at the dojo. The theme this time will be board games! We will have all sorts of games available for the kids to play, different games suited for different age groups!

Everyone is welcome to attend! All ages, all classes, and even those who do not attend classes at the dojo! Please invite friends and family members to join you for a fun night out!

The cost will be $15 for current students and $20 for non-students.

We hope to see you all there!

Our students are so talented! One of our teen students, Tamsin, is selling her handmade crafts with her twin sister today at Whitman Day. If you get the chance, stop by to say hello and take a look at the awesome stuff she’s made!

Come see us at our booth at Whitman Day at the Whitman Town Park from 10 am to 4 pm!

We’ll also be having a demonstration on the center stage from 10:30 to 10:45! All students are welcome to take part, or just come watch.

Our first annual Open House was a success! Despite the rainy weather, we all had a great time, parents and kids alike.

We had several of our amazing students show off their talents in forms, weapons, board breaking, sparring, and grappling! They put on a great show for everyone!

Thank you so much to everyone who was able to attend! And thank you to all of the Senseis for all of your help, as well as to Sensei Nicole’s mom for making these amazing karate-themed sugar cookies!

Hello all! Friendly reminder that tomorrow, May 30th, is our 1st annual TAMA Dojo Open House! The event will be running from 12 - 3 pm. We will have events such as student demonstrations, origami making, obstacle courses, and more! We will also have karate themed desserts, dojo apparel for sale, and a prize wheel where you can spin and win small prizes! We hope to see you all there! Bring your friends!

Come see Sensei Nicole at the main table tomorrow to pick up some apparel or spin the prize wheel!

TAMA Mamas, Aunts, and Grandmothers are welcome to join their young martial artists on the mat this week for class! No experience needed, just remember to wear comfortable clothing.
