Special Opening Day Celebration for Jack Jack
September 7, 2025 – 09:45 AM
Jack Jack loves baseball and he was a special guest at the YCOBL Opening Day game between the Dodgers and Phillies. His mom, Corrie Stein, works for Wellspan as a Sports Medicine Program Coordinator and has a big part in Wellspan's sponsorship of the YCOBL. A special jersey was created for Jack Jack that was signed by the Dodgers and Phillies players and presented to him before the game. After warming up with the Dodgers Cory Goshorn, he threw out the first pitch to the Phillies Mike Lamont to kick off the 2025 season. Jack Jack was given the royal treatment all day as he enjoyed a great game of baseball in almost perfect weather ... and he got to be one of the Boys of Summer today! Thanks to everyone involved in making this great event happen!

Gamer.
STRANGE BUT TRUE: OTD in 1919, Indians pitcher Ray Caldwell was struck by lightning during the 9th inning.
He got back up and recorded the final out to finish the game. Unreal.

Maybe some in our baseball community are already up to speed. I was only made aware a few minutes ago. Tim has sat quite a few of us down, including myself. It’s time we stand together for a good dude. Tim’s road ahead will be challenging so keep him in our thoughts and prayers.

Tim has been through a lot this month. After having some concerns about some chest pains he went to a local hospital on April 1st. After a bunch of tests he learned he had been born with only two valves in his aortic valve, there’s supposed to be three. This would require open heart surgery....

Glove Mechanics
At Glove Mechanics we know that a properly maintained and formed glove is critical to success on the field. We also know that today’s players like having a personal connection to their glove. Our services offer you the opportunity to keep your glove in game ready form and to personalize it to fit your needs. Gloves breakdown over time and repeated use. Laces wear out and gloves lose their original shape, this leads many people to spend hundreds of dollars on a new glove. Re-lacing a worn glove is a daunting task for many people, let our mechanics take the worry out of this task for you, pick your colors and let us give your glove the tune up it needs to keep it running like new.
