Brave Beginnings will be closed on Monday May 25th to honor Memorial Day.

Brave Beginnings is hosting a skating event at the Lind Arena on May 16th from 3pm to 5pm, Free admission! Kids skate completely free, but adults must pay rental fee for their own skates!

Did you know 50% of all lifetime mental illnesses start when a child is fourteen years old? Remember to check in with your teenage children often and make sure to create a safe space for them to communicate their feelings, as you never know what they could be struggling with behind closed doors ♡

We've decided to start doing a newsletter— and this is our first one! We have lots to look forward to this month, including our skating event and the Summer Reading Kickoff with the Muskingum County Library System 😊

We also want to highlight that May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Mental health and wellness is extremely important when it comes to what we do here at our center, and we are grateful to be part of the gateway to helping victims of abuse on their healing journey by connecting them with mental health professionals and giving them the resources they need.

Remember to take care of yourself this month— and every month! You are important, loved, and never alone. Don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it. 💚
