Hierdie is vir al die ECASA elektriese kontrakteurs in die Weskus area. Ons behoort aan die Boland tak en ons 1ste vergadering vir 2026 is more die 17de Maart. Ek sien gewoonlik nooit van ons Weskus kontrakteurs by die Boland vergaderings nie so ek hoop om die keer n paar van julle daar te sien. Ek weet die Paarl is ver maar daar is darem nie elke week n vergadering nie. Darryl het gesê as ons genoeg kontrakteurs bymekaar kan kry, kan ons dalk n Weskus tak afstig. As julle nie kan bywoon nie maar daar is iets wat julle wil byvoeg op die agenda vir bespreking kan julle my gerus kontak. Dit is ook n oproep vir geregistreerde elektriese kontrakteurs wat nog nie aan ECASA behoort nie en graag wil aansluit om my te kontak en ek sal die nodige kontak besonderhede deurgee om aan te sluit. Let wel slegs kontrakteurs wat by die Departement van arbeid geregistreer is as elektriese kontrakteurs kan aansluit.

Job description:

SF Smit Electrical Services has a position available for a suitably experienced, attention to detail and dedicated individual to join the team as a Qualified Electrician. The successful candidate will report to the Managing Director. Included in the responsibilities are:

Assisting the team with maintenance and upgrading of existing electrical control and distribution systems
Electrical diagnoses and suitable repairs
Housekeeping
Point to point checks on control and power systems
Read and correctly interpret electrical diagrams
Assist the managing director with ad-hoc duties

Qualifying Criteria:
Qualified Red Seal Electrical Trade test
Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience
Adhering to the regulations as set out in the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Good communication skills,
Prepared to work overtime and perform stand-by duties,
Valid Driver’s license is a must.

Qualifying Attributes:
Must be able to work without supervision
Basic computer proficiency
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Self-motivated and results orientated
*Must have sober habits*
Enjoy practical and manual work & be able to work in a pressurized environment
Must be able to work at heights and confined spaces.
Must be medically fit.
Attention to detail.
Sound understanding of an array of tools and technical equipment
