Our long-term goal is to establish a permanent, sustainable physiotherapy presence in Collinsville.

Physiotherapy is not a luxury. The Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) has formally declared it a critical and essential service for all Australians.

The physiotherapy workforce ratio drops from 2.6 per 10,000 people in capital cities to just 0.6 in very remote areas — meaning rural Australians have less than a quarter of the physiotherapy access of city residents. Approximately 80% of physiotherapists in Australia work in major cities, leaving regional and remote communities significantly underserviced.

Collinsville, with a population of over 3,000 people and zero private physiotherapy services, sits at the extreme end of that gap.

Research consistently shows that sustainable allied health delivery in remote communities depends on drive-in, drive-out models — particularly where population size cannot support a full-time local practice. Consistent support, regular visits, and a long-term sustainable service is what Collinsville needs.

We’re excited to introduce Chun-Feng (Eva) Wang, an experienced physiotherapist with over 15 years of practice across hospitals, clinics, home care, and private studios. Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese, Eva brings a warm, inclusive, and culturally aware approach to care.
Eva is one of only a few Certified Visceral Technique Practitioners (CVTP) in Australia and also supports international training as a Teaching Assistant. Now, she’s bringing her advanced skills to Bowen, Queensland—offering the community access to high-quality, holistic physiotherapy rarely found in regional areas.
✨ Eva specialises in gentle, hands-on treatments that focus on finding and addressing the root cause—not just the symptoms. Her approach includes whole-body assessments, soft tissue and joint release, posture correction, cupping, dry needling, Pilates, and personalised exercise programs.
