Fresh off a sensational 105–26 win over Geelong yesterday, our Diamond Valley 55s are clearly in the habit of getting the job done. Now we need the club to do the same and get behind our Gala Night!

THE FOOTY GODS HAVE SPOKEN...

Prior to Sunday, things were looking pretty rosy at Diamond Valley. Across all grades we'd suffered just one loss with one draw across the whole club in the season, and we might have been just having a sneaky look ahead to what September might bring.

Then Round 5 arrived. The Footy Gods looked down from the heavens, frowned, waved a finger and reminded us all:

"Don't get ahead of yourself."

With a challenging fixture stretching our squads more than they have been all year, Sunday provided a reality check. 😬

35s Northside Lions 7.12 (54) defeated Diamond Valley 3.9 (27)
45s Geelong 14.4 (88) defeated Diamond Valley 9.5 (59)
50s Northside Lions 5.10 (40) defeated Diamond Valley 4.2 (26)

While the results didn't go our way, there's no panic here. We got a a reminder that we need to keep turning up every week, doing the work and staying focus on the end goal.

The Footy Gods have made their point, message received.

The boys headed down to Lilydale with a strong side and made a statement — a massive 127 to 16 win and are on top of the ladder after 4 rounds! 💪🏉

Imac, Richo and Lugger were awesome up forward with 4 goals each as the team piled on the score.

⚫ 35s
A tough, hard-fought contest against Laurimar with the boys grinding out a 7-point win in slippery conditions.

A dominant performance from start to finish, running away 90-point winners over Essendon.

An outstanding team performance from the combined Diamond Valley / Northside side with a big win over Brunswick.
