Shout out to our very own Ellen Bentley!
She’ll be a C / Util for the BCW Rangers. If you’d like to donate to support her and the rest of the Canberra Rangers women’s program and follow along, click the link in the post!
Best of luck 🫡
Meet Ellen! She's a Catcher/Utility for your BCW Rangers!
15 years in the game, two reconstructions, and a baby boy along the way and she's still showing up and throwing down. Her role model? Her dad. Her proudest moment? Playing beside him on the field.
Now Ellen is on the Road to the 2026 Women's Country Championship and she needs YOUR support to get there. Your generous support will help cover costs associated with travel, accommodation, uniforms, training ground hire fees and tournament expenses.
Donate to the Canberra Rangers Women's program today. P.S...it's tax deductible!

1st Grade!
1st Grade this year made it to the Semi finals but went down in the series 2-1 to the bears. A great season with many standouts but these guys took home the choccies
Fielding award & Jubilee: Young gun debutant Oscar Kelly made his 1st Grade debut on the 1st November 2025 playing catcher. He went on to play 20 games, catching 108 innings at the first grade level fielding .992. Incredible work from a young player who’s going to see plenty of time in 1st grade. Congrats!
Players Player & Hitting: Markus Bracey
Voted players player for his performances on the field, Markus was a force in the box and on the mound. 24 games, .409 avg, .470 OBP and .716 slg, Markus had 13 doubles, 1 triple, 4HRs 22 RBI all while pitching in 14 games for 71 innings, 105 Strikeouts (13.3 k/9) for a 3.2 ERA. Insane stats from a great guy.
Wayne Stephen’s sportsman’s award: Given for his on and off the field play, awarded to Phil Whelan. First to arrive, last to leave with a great attitude and great play. Locking down CF fielding 1.000 with 30 putouts, Phil was a clutch #2 hitter. .267 avg, .416 OBP, this man got on, stole bases (16) and scored runs (32). Can’t wait to see him in year 3.
Can’t forget, the two most important awards, given to our Strikeout and error leaders.
Strikeout — Ruben Cordina.
Errors — Kenta Hitoni & Markus Bracey tied. Wonder how our MVP gets an error award? Incredible range locked him in with 100 total chances, 30 above the next guy, Kenta.
Wear these awards with a badge of pride, you’re forever engraved now!
Congrats to all!

2nd Grade!
Hitting: hitting .484 over 12 games with 1 double, 3 triples and 17R scored at the top of the order. 0 strikeouts all season, Katz got on, got round and let the others knock him in.
Fielding: Lachlan Ives, locking down CF with a 1.000 average.
Players Player: Returning Rebel Kobe brought a great attitude and a veterans head, 10/10 teammate Kobe was voted players player by the team.
Sportsman’s award: Nate Adams, awarded for his 2 way ability and chatty demeanour (one of those is true), Nate pitched 14 innings with 3 starts, for a 2.9 ERA. He also hit .565 across 23ABs, for 3 doubles, 10 RBI, and 6 stolen bases (speed demon??). While still technically a junior, Nate has been smashing it in 2nds and looking to build a long term spot in 1sts. We think we’ll be seeing plenty of him there soon.
Congrats!!

Thanks to all to attended our annual presentation night. Thanks to the Statesman Hotel for hosting and for your sponsorship throughout the season.
We had a great turnout with plenty of awards given out. Please stay tuned as these are announced over the next few days.
Starting first with our Jubilee award winners! These go to Tristan Wilson, Eric Cochrane and Aiden Bates who all made their 1st Grade Debuts this year.
These players were a huge help in the dugouts and got to learn and see what it’s like to play at higher levels. We will definitely be seeing more of them in the future.
