🚨 URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT - GENERAL MEMBER EOI FOR 2026/2027 SEASON 🚨

Factory Ultimate is seeking to fill 3 vacant General Member positions for the upcoming 2026/2027 season.

Joining the Club Executive Committee gives you a direct voice in the Club’s management and future.

Although planning for the season has begun, we are hoping to find 3 more members to complete our team. Our current Executive Committee consists of:

Treasurer - Corinna Schubert
General Members - Sara Gillett & Kirsten Ayre

Let’s go, Ariel!!! 👩‍✈️

"Our fearless leader, Ariel, is the driving force behind our team both on and off the field. While she is one of the nicest people we’ve met she is also not to be messed with. When she’s not playing or coaching frisbee she’s doing Muay Thai, getting her PhD and being a mother. Her motherly energy creates an inclusive environment in which we can all grow both as players and as people. On top of it all she is hilarious and always has us all laughing but don’t let the jokes fool you; she’s always locked in. She brings incredible knowledge, dedication, and care to everything she does and we could not be prouder to call her our coach."

The Best Physio to have in your corner 🦿

"Marine might have a prickly exterior but she will always take care of you and make sure you’re in peak condition to play. She makes sure we don’t die and puts up (to a point) with all of our whining about stretching and rolling. Behind the tough love is someone who’s incredibly patient, kind and supportive. Not only is she our Australian team physio, but she’s also represented Australia herself, bringing a bunch of experience and passion that shows in everything she does for the team. We couldn’t ask for a better physio."

How did you start playing frisbee?
I wanted to try a new sport one winter and found frisbee through the local social league!

What are you most excited about for WJUC?
I'm so proud of this team and looking forward to cheering them on from home.

Teammate Introduction:
Don't be fooled by her name — Pip is one of the most determined and driven players I have ever met. She puts everything she has into improving and has shown heaps of growth throughout the campaign because of it. She's also someone who's always easy to have a chat to, bringing positive energy and supporting everyone around her. On the field she runs hard for everything and gives it her all.

Best of luck to our Masters-age (and older 😝) players who have just kicked off their first day at the 2026 World Masters Ultimate Championships in Nottingham, UK!!

Sheryn Ringland and Julia Birchall are repping the 🇦🇺 with Sunset in the Grand Master Women’s Division, and Abbie Dawson is playing with Sydney Sails (Sydney Sails (Mixed Masters) ) in the Masters Mixed Division.

Congratulations to our Masters-aged players who competed at the 2026 Australians Masters Ultimate Championships last weekend in Wollongong 👏👏👏

Both ACT teams came away with medals, with Wedgies taking out the 🥇and Discontinued Line winning Spirit overall 🏅

We hope to continue to follow our Factory women and their 🥏 adventures throughout the upcoming ‘off season’ 🙃

📣 SAVE THE DATE 📆 2026 FACTORY AGM 📣

The annual AGM will be held on Saturday 27th June between 3:00-4:00 pm (online and in-person). A Microsoft Teams link and location will be released closer to the date.

If you are interested in joining the 2026/2027 Executive, please reach out to our current President, another member of the current Exec, or via email at [email protected].

In particular, the Executive Board are seeking a Development Officer, a Social Officer (end-of-season awards and club social events), and a Communications Officer (social media).

A list of nominations will be released ahead of the AGM, with nominations from the floor also very welcome.

The President’s and Treasurer’s reports will be released for review approximately 14 days ahead of the AGM.
