What a day. A huge thank you to the Irish Embassy Canberra for hosting the official launch of Canberra Gaels and helping us mark such a special moment for the club.

A massive thank you to NSW Masters for making the trip down and taking the field with us we really appreciate the support and sportsmanship.

And to every player who has shown up, got involved and committed to building this club from the ground up this day wouldn’t have happened without you. 💙💛

A big thank you to King O'Malleys for hosting us after the game and giving everyone a place to celebrate and enjoy the evening together.

🚨 IT’S LAUNCH WEEK! 🚨

This Saturday, Canberra Gaels are officially back on the pitch as we take on NSW Masters for our Launch Day at Griffith Playing Fields! 🏐

We’d love to see a big crowd down to help us mark the occasion and get behind the Gaels. Whether you’ve been involved with the club before, you’re new to GAA, or you’re just looking for a good afternoon out everyone is welcome.

SEPTEMBER 📅 |

The 2026/27 season kicks off for New Zealand and Tasmania this month with the Waikato Championships in Hamilton, the O’Carroll Cup in Wellington/Hutt Valley, and round one of the state league in Launceston.

We also see Geelong Gaels host their annual hurling blitz, and Canberra Gaels play their first game since their revival. 🙌

💙CANBERRA GAELS LAUNCH DAY! 💛

After months of building, planning, training and bringing people together, we finally get to take the field for our first game since Canberra Gaels started back. 🤩

What started as an idea has grown into a club, a community and a group of people we’re so proud to call our own. This weekend is about more than just the game it’s about celebrating what we’ve built together and the exciting journey ahead.

🎟️ FREE ENTRY

Bring your mates, bring the family and come be part of the day! We’ll have kid-friendly activities and GAA skills games running throughout the afternoon.

Then the celebrations continue at King O’Malley’s from 5:30pm, with the players, good craic and live music back at King O’Malley’s 🎶🍻

We’d love to see as many people as possible there to support the team and celebrate this milestone with us.

This is just the beginning. 💙💛
