Congratulations and a happy FINALLY to John Giersch's team of Kym Allmond and our Super Secretary Marlene Cott for winning on Thursday and taking home the big box of chocolates. Look at those smiles

Wednesday was a glorious day for bowls.
Dave Stoddart, Maureen Bentley and Brian Eime won the big box of chocolates. Well done! In second place was Ian Simpson, Bruce Reichstein and Glenn Rooke.

Last Thursday the winners were Ron Koglin, Yvonne Schmidt and Alan Hornsby. We had over 30 bowlers both weeks. It is great to see so many clubs represented.

Bowls SA is proud to recognise Clare Bowling Club as the 2026 Community Spirit Award winners! 🏆

In partnership with eleven Region 8 clubs, Clare helped deliver the “Blazing Bowls” Tournament social night, bringing clubs and the wider community together for a meaningful cause.

🌟 96 players from across the region
🌟 $5,600 raised for BlazeAid
🌟 Strong support from local businesses and volunteers
🌟 Creative fundraising efforts, including a head-shaving fundraiser

Driven by collaboration and generosity, the event showed the true spirit of community through bowls.

In recognition of volunteer week let's celebrate one of our most versatile, sought after and cheerful volunteers, Marlene Cott. This photo is from the 4 day tournament where Marlene was asked to work on the catering team, the bar team, umpire and fulfill her secretary duties all on the same day. She did it all with this spectacular smile on her face. What a legend!
