The Forest Hill Football Netball Club is a community based Australian Rules and Netball Club affiliated with the Eastern Football Netball League - Division 4 & was established in 1967. Ken Parry coached the Nunawading Blues high school team and played cricket for Forest Hill Cricket Club. The clubs renamed itself the Forest Hill Football Club in 1968 and in 1970 entered the Eastern District Football League (EDFL) now the EFL. The club fielded a seniors and reserves team, as well as and Under 15's and 17's team in our inaugural season in the EDFL. 🦓 Shaun "Wang" Smith - Our Defensive Stalwart🟢⚪

The backline won’t feel the same without this key defensive rock with rebounding attacking flair and a lethal leg - You will be missed. Shaun "Wang" Smith has officially hung up the boots after giving his all to the Forest Hill jumper for close to 10 years.

Wang has been a total mainstay and defensive anchor for the Zebras across the journey. A proud multi-time member of our development & seniors leadership groups, a 2017 Premiership player and with two other Grand Final appearances across his career, he stood tall through thick and thin, regularly locking down the opposition’s best forwards and playing with a relentless, team-first attitude that defined our back six.

Each year that passed by, he added more elements to his game, becoming a key leadership member in our senior ranks. Shaun was another who loved to help where he could off-field also – We love those guys! Always putting the club first.

🟢⚪Career Highlights:
- 126 Games (331 total)
- 12 Goals (69 total)
- 21 x Best Players (50 total)
- 9 Years in the green & white
- 2017 Development Premiership
- 3 x Grand Final appearances
- 2019 Runner-up Development B&F 2019
- 2019 Vice Captain & Multi-Year Leadership Group

It wouldn’t be a game Wang was playing in without the No. 64's intercepts, second efforts, run & carry, taking the game on & hitting the half-forward with a dart on the right leg. We can't forget his leadership, particularly in the latter years, as his desire for our club to be successful was unmatched. It's the buy-in Wang gave to our football club, on & off the field, that makes it the place we love & find so special. The fact that this guy is a ripping fella means we're going to miss him at Zebraland even more.

Sticking with the boys through every battle, Wang’s courage and leadership have left a permanent mark on the next generation of Zebras. We are incredibly grateful for everything you have brought to Zebraland. Cheers to an outstanding career, Wang!

🦓 James "Jimmy O" O'Sullivan - An Immortal of Fraser Place 🟢⚪

The dictionary definition of a true Zebra. James "Jimmy O" O'Sullivan has officially hung up the green & white stripes & the No. 9 jumper, closing out one of the most storied & decorated careers Zebraland has ever seen.

Starting out as a fresh-faced junior back in 1995 in a yes, a woollen jumper (first playing cricket at Zebraland in the prior summer & many years past that), Jimmy O has given absolutely everything to the green and white for over three decades.

As a junior captain, who was part of the first junior team to get up in many years, in his formative years he led from the front, as a multi-time best & fairest winner, representing the EFNL at Interleague level three times, as well as spending time with the Eastern Rangers to his senior years being a Premiership Development Captain & most recently Senior Captain, he has led us through every single high and low with unmatched heart, soul and loyalty, earning the respect of his teammates, his opponents, and their clubs alike.

Earlier this year, he cemented his place in history by playing his 450th club game, officially breaking the all-time Forest Hill games record.

2017, a standout year as a Premiership captain, just epitomised the fierce, driven leader (who set training standards) and loved to get involved with the off-field things too.

A pillar of strength, reliability, and elite ruck work—William "Wilba" Stoneham has played his final game for the Zebras.

Wilba has been our resident big man for close to 15 years, our off-field DJ and an irreplaceable leader around Fraser Place for years. Renowned for his work ethic, consistency and his willingness to do anything for the club, be it on or off-field, he proved year in & year out why he's been amongst the game's elite ruckmen of the competition for the majority of his career.

Career Highlights:
- Multi-year Zebra junior
- 198 Games Played
- 18 Total Goals
- 80 x Best Player
- 2003 u18s Best & Fairest
- 2021 Senior Best & Fairest
- 2024 Devs Best & Fairest
- FHFNC Life Membership 2025
- 2 x Div 4 Team of The Year Squad
- FHFNC Team of The Decade (2007-2016)

Whether providing silver service to our midfielders or locking down the back end of the ground with his veteran presence, Wilba played with a passion that inspired everyone around him, which is a testament to the man himself, who we all know is an absolute star human.

Thank you, Wilba, for dominating the airways, bleeding for the jumper, and always leading from the front. Enjoy retirement, big fella!

A Forest Hill Immortal, a Legend & a Stalwart say goodbye 🥹🫡🦓 🟢⚪

We will celebrate these three great clubmen of Fraser Place in Jimmy O, Wilba & Wang over the coming days individually, but as mates, they stuck with the Zebs through thick & thin, as leaders of our great club, giving everything to the jumper.

Fittingly, they bowed out together in the last round of the Home & Away Season. They've hung up their stripes after saying goodbye to the Zebra faithful in rd.17 at Zebraland one final time on our hallowed turf, closing the chapter on their storied careers the following week vs Chirnside Park (A).

We love ya, boys... Carn the Zebs!!!!!
