Finishing one more great month in our kids classes 👏
This month we worked on attacks from guard, helping the kids develop coordination, timing, and confidence on the mats.
But the lessons went beyond Jiu Jitsu techniques.
Our focus was also on determination and autonomy — encouraging the kids to keep trying, solve problems on their own, and believe in their ability to improve step by step.
Proud of the effort and growth we’ve seen from everyone this month.

A common mistake in Jiu Jitsu is to associate intensity with effectiveness.
In reality, excessive tension often reduces both physical efficiency and cognitive clarity. The athlete becomes rigid in movement, narrow in perception, and predictable in reaction.
Relaxation, when combined with attentiveness, creates the conditions for intelligent action. Movement becomes more adaptive, energy expenditure decreases, and awareness broadens beyond immediate threats and reactions.
The objective is not the absence of effort, but the elimination of unnecessary effort.
At higher levels of Jiu Jitsu, composure itself becomes a form of skill.
