WORLD RANKINGS • WOMENS FREESTYLE • FINAL RANKINGS 2026

Here are the final standings for the women’s freestyle from 2026! After a thrilling world title showdown between Maaike Huvermann and Sarah-Quita Offringa in Fuerteventura, Sarah-Quita came out on top to take her 17th Freestyle crown, but Maaike made it a closer run than ever before! Congratulations to Lisa Kloster for making back to back podiums, as well as Sandra Schill making 4th in the World on her tour debut season!

After Fuerteventura, this is how the Men’s Freestyle World Rankings are shaping up. Lennart Neubauer leads the charge over Yentel Caers, and Balz Muller enters the top 3 for the first time. The top 10 comprises a mix of legends and up and coming talent, showing that the next generation are coming up quick, but when it comes to heat strategy, experience still plays a massive role!

Sol Degrieck continues her unbeaten run in the Pro Junior Girls with victory in Tenerife. With a 10-point wave ride and some double forward attempts, Sol secured the win in beautiful style over Helena Derya Lale of Germany.

PLAYA SURF CBBC HOTEL TENERIFE WIND & WAVES WORLD CUP • MASTERS CHAMPION • BEN PROFFITT 🇬🇧

Fan favourite, Ben Proffitt, aka Mr Windsurfing TV was let out the commentary box today to compete in the Masters division and he only went and won it! Some would say its the gear, as he took Marc Paré ’s winning setup… but in reality we all know how good Ben is! Fresh (or not so fresh) from the commentary booth, Ben put down a 23.35 in his first heat - nearly double his nearest rival but with local ripper Jochen Stolz and 2 x Master’s World Champion Mike Friedl on his side of the draw, it wasn’t going to be a walk in the park. The three met in the semi-finals where Stolz put down some critical wave riding including a beautiful in the pocket 360 to take the win, but with Proffitt in 2nd, they both advanced to the final to meet Guillermo Barriero Melgarejo and Sandro D’Alessio. Proffitt saved his best till last and did exactly what he talks about in commentary - “building the house”. Riding 7 waves, progressively getting better and better - scoring 9.62 for one of them for a huge projecting 360 off a big section before continuing into 2 more beautifully linked turns on the open face. Finishing off the heat with his jumps - 2 from 2 with a one footed backloop and a nice forward.

Stolz put up a good fight but just couldn’t find the excellence he’d shown in the semifinals and finished 2nd, with Guillermo Barriero Melgarejo in 3rd and Sandro D’Alessio 4th.
