🟦 The blocks in Tetris are called Tetriminos!

Each shape is made up of exactly four squares, which is where the name comes from. The "tetra" part means four, and there are only seven different Tetrimino shapes in the entire game.

Despite having just seven shapes and very simple rules, Tetris has become one of the most popular and recognisable video games ever created.

In fact, scientists have found that playing Tetris can improve spatial reasoning and problem-solving skills. Not bad for a game about falling blocks!
