Massive thanks to Water Nomads NZ for offering support to Wave Rally by offering vouchers. The fact they wanted to get involved was a great surprise and testament to how Wave Rally has inspired windsurfers worldwide.

Huge thank you once again to the Mid West Ports Authority for giving their support to Wave Rally. This is the second year the MWPA have given a generous financial grant to our event. Through their investment there has been financial scope to improve Wave Rally for 2027 and beyond.

Also a huge thank you to the amazing local Rose Holdaway one of the fantastic volunteers from the past events. She represented us at the official MWPA grant recipient media event and showed her appreciation on behalf of the Wave Rally community.

There are some big improvements for 2027 coming up for Wave Rally. It's going to be the best presented windsurf event in Australia next summer.

Great news! Iconic Western Australian windsurf brand Severne Windsurfing has committed to sponsoring Wave Rally for the 3rd year running!

They were one of the original windsurf brands to support Wave Rally from the beginning so we couldn't have done it without them.

The plan this year is to hopefully have a Severne tent set up where you can view and test ride gear at one the best windsurf spots in the world, Wave Rally HQ on Coronation Beach, Geraldton.

Wave Rally has a new logo! As the event has grown in stature and reach, it was time to invest in getting a strong new brand to reflect the culture of Wave Rally.

The new logo was developed by windsurfer & freelance graphic designer Glenn Haslbeck who runs Eh Team Inc Studio based in West Vancouver, Canada - https://ehteaminc.com

Glenn runs KOAV a YouTube channel with windsurf content and an online store selling merch as well.

Glenn was very kind in developing the logo identity and is a big fan of Wave Rally so a massive thanks to Glenn for his support. If you need graphic design work reach out to him!

The logo has been developed with a few variations on colour. The colours represent the sun, sand and sunset and the blue the water. The 3 streaks represent a race track and the sail a wave sail. The inflections on the letters A L L represent speed and highlight the word ALL with the idea Wave Rally will be inclusive to all. The design has 80s design cues giving homage to the golden age of windsurfing.

Very excited to have this new logo as the last one was a 'borrowed' retro Honda logo which I used to get this event off the ground. With new sponsors and supporters, an investment was made to get things done right for the future.

For the 2nd year running, Community Bank Geraldton has pledged their support with a generous grant towards Wave Rally 3!

Trying to get support from the one of the big 4 banks in Australia would be almost impossible for a grass roots windsurfing event.
