Oh no. Guys. This is a mega loss for the community.
Can't thank Joe and all the crew of Tac Edge and Gelsoft enough for the years of driving the community.

We have been associated with Nuketown since the start of TSI in 2018 Back when Nuketown was co run by Chainsaw products and Tactical edge.

Joe and Pete are the founding fathers of this sport in Australia and just about the largest driving force of gelball world wide.
It is truly hard to believe the change to federal Laws has cost us everything for this industry.

Guys and gal's. Please this just proves. You must support local.
We have shops.
So buy from them not ebay and Ali express.
We have playing fields. So go play.
Once they are gone. It's on us the players for Not supporting.

This post states Gelsoft, our biggest indoor CQB and speedball field is closing on under 4 weeks.
Please please go play as many times as You can on that remaining few weeks. You will Regret it if you don't

🚨OUR PHYSICAL STORE IS CLOSING — TACTICAL EDGE IS MOVING ONLINE

After many incredible years, Tactical Edge Hobbies will be transitioning to an online-only future.

With ongoing changes to firearm regulations and importation laws across Australia, the industry continues to evolve rapidly. As a business, we’ve had to adapt to these changes and make decisions that allow us to continue operating into the future.

While this decision has not been made lightly. Although our retail storefront chapter is coming to an end, Tactical Edge Hobbies is not going anywhere.

This is not goodbye — it’s simply a new direction.

To every customer, supporter, player and staff member who has been part of the journey — thank you.

From weekend visits and new product launches to events, conversations and memories made in-store, this community has meant more to us than words can explain.

We’re incredibly proud of everything we’ve built together and look forward to continuing the journey online with all of you.

Our last day in store will be Friday June 26th, 2026.

Thank you for being part of the Tactical Edge family ❤️

🚨 Gelball & Skirmish in Australia Is on the Line

Under Schedule 6, Part 2, Item 14B (Skirmish Markers) of the Customs (Prohibited Imports) Regulations 1956, gelball blasters are being treated as fi****ms for import purposes. This change appears to have been introduced without meaningful consultation with the industry or community.

Important:
This does NOT affect players or ownership in Queensland.
However, it does impact the importation of items that are considered substantially the same in appearance as a fully automatic firearm.

While this might not sound significant at first, these items are the most commonly used equipment in the sport and hobby. Restricting their import threatens the future growth and sustainability of the gelball and skirmish community.

This issue is about more than just a hobby. It impacts:

• Mental health and wellbeing for many participants
• A legitimate and growing sport
• Small Australian businesses and local jobs
• Retailers, fields and industry operators
• The Australian film and creative industries (props, cosplay and movie production)

If we stay silent, the industry disappears quietly.

If we act — respectfully and in numbers — politicians take notice.

⏱ Take 5 minutes and send an email

Best strategy:
Email your local Federal MP and at least 2–3 Queensland Senators.

This helps show that:
✅ The issue affects the whole state
✅ There is real community concern
✅ Respectful, personalised messages carry weight

Find your MP here:
https://www.aph.gov.au/Senators_and_Members/Members

📢 What you can do

• Email your MP and Senators (see comments for senators and email template)
• Encourage friends and family to send emails

Respectful, coordinated action gets attention.

Silence won’t save the industry — but speaking up might.

Remember all to always

Bring it on!!!!!

Wow such a shame.
One of the biggest names in international airsoft upgrades and product development is closing down

Really doesn't bode well For the sport world Wide to see the best of the best ending their position in the industry.
