Most people think the gym is about looking better.
That’s not why we’re here.
(I mean sure in our experience every time we've helped someone get stronger and fitter they've also looked better..)
Here's 3 reasons you should be doing regular strength training ⬇️

GOAT OF THE MONTH 🏆
Our April GOAT goes to Loz!
Loz has been an unreal community member since joining last year. So much so that this acknowledgement is overdue.
Loz says that this is as strong, fit and light she’s been in her adult life. That statement alone is massive.
It’s a testament to the effort Loz puts in the sessions week in and week out.
Go Loz!

This is a conversation I’ve had probably hundreds of times. Across a consulting table, in a gym, over the phone. And it almost always starts the same way.
“I don’t know what’s happened to me. I used to be able to eat whatever I wanted. it must be my age”
Sound familiar?
Here’s the thing. You’re not imagining it. Losing weight in your 40s, 50s, and 60s does feel harder than it did when you were 25!
But what most people think is to blame — that your metabolism has fallen off a cliff — is mostly wrong.
Research actually shows that, after accounting for body size, energy expenditure (metabolism) stays pretty stable from your 20s through to your 60s. The meaningful metabolic slowdown happens much later.
So if it’s not your age or your metabolism, what is it?

Shout out to long term Hubster and all around nice guy Simon Ward for officially ticking off 300 workouts! 🥳
The fact that he’s completed 90% of them before 6am surely means they’re worth double though right? 😂
Simon first came to us after dealing with some lower back pain. He wanted to get stronger and fitter - not to become a bodybuilder or a gym ju**ie, just so he was the best version of himself outside of the gym.
He’s a dad, a husband and works a demanding job and wants to feel his best. Like anyone he’s had his setbacks along the way but we’re really proud of the way he kept showing up and kept trusting the process.
And I’ll say for someone who had no plans to turn into a bodybuilder or a gym ju**ie.. he’s pretty damn strong and pretty damn fit too!
Congratulations Simon, you’re the man, man!
