✅ Park Orchards Cricket Club are delighted to announce that reigning Club Champion, Lionel Hunt, has committed his future to POCC and will continue to play an integral role moving forward.

Off the back of a brilliant 2025/26 season, in which he claimed 46 wickets and 386 runs, Lionel will be leading with bat and ball again as POCC chase honours in Howard Wilson Shield.

Can't wait to see you dominating at Dom next season!

🗓 The POCC Annual General Meeting will take place on 6 May at 7.30pm at Domeney Reserve. A new committee will be elected to run the club for the 2026/27 season. All players, supporters and members of the community are welcome.

🏆 A brilliant awards night on Saturday was capped with Lionel Hunt lifting the Club Champion award. After a stellar season of 46 wickets and 386 runs across formats, it’s a well-deserved accolade.

Congratulations to everyone on a great 2025/26 season. We’re looking ahead with great anticipation for the next campaign.

The Park Orchards Cricket Club is delighted to name its 14th life member. In 59 years of POCC, and 43 since life membership was adopted, it says much that only 14 people have been given this honour, the highest at any sports club. It’s recognition of continued service over a prolonged period, on and off the field.

On Saturday, the club presented Chris Mow with the honour, which fittingly comes in his 20th season. Few words need to be said about him - most know Chris and the fine man he is - and everyone POCC family is delighted to see him recognised. He’s a wonderful person first and a top cricketer second.

Congratulations Chris on your well-deserved life membership. Everyone at POCC is stoked for you.

🏏 Park Orchards Cricket Club are excited to announce the appointment of our new senior men’s 1st XI captain for the 2026/27 season, Tom Sonderhof.

A proven performer and respected leader within the club, Tom has been involved in senior club cricket for over a decade after establishing himself early as a talented junior, and brings a deep understanding of what it means to represent and lead the Park Orchards community.

Most recently, Tom took on the challenge as the club T20 captain and, as a previous 1st XI captain, he will be well suited to this role. Tom’s passion for the club is evident both on and off the field. He has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, setting the standard through his professionalism, work ethic and relationship with his teammates.

We look forward to supporting Tom in his new role and are excited for what lies ahead under his leadership.

🏏 Park Orchards Cricket Club are excited to announce the appointment of Rudi Hunt as Head of Cricket for the 2026/27 season. In this role, Rudi will oversee all cricket operations, including senior club coaching and its structure, training, player development and on-field performance.

With the Hunt name built into the fabric of the club, Rudi brings a wealth of experience, passion and leadership to the role. His strong commitment to developing performance and club culture across all levels of the club sees his vision align closely with the POCC goals of fostering a competitive, supportive and winning environment.

As a proven leader with a clear vision, Rudi will play a key role in shaping the future of cricket at the club. This appointment marks an exciting step forward for POCC.
