Swansea 14/08/2026 - just Ezra and I diving today. We kept it shorter (65mins) as it was a bit fresh (16c). Viz was really lovely though - easily 10m and nice blue water. A total of 5 seahorses found, which always makes me happy!

August Social Dives: here it is - did you miss me? Thank you to everyone who messaged during July asking if I was ok due to not posting a schedule. With my final block of Ambulance training, homeschool assessments and just life it was the right decision to have some downtime. Have no fear though - I am back with dives in August.
PM me to secure your place (replies this weekend will be limited due to powerboat racing).

Cabbage Tree Bay 28/07/2026 - dive 2 we decided on the RHS. For 78mins Trish, Ezra and I searched along the boulders. Viz was a little less at 5-6m and more murky than milky. We also had some surge. Water temp 18c. It seems the cuttles decided to show up LHS during this same timeframe, so we missed them again. Little critters for the win though!

Cabbage Tree Bay 28/07/2026 - first dive of the day Trish, Ezra and I hit the LHS of the site. 91min dive time in 18c water sure tests the toes. Viz was very nice at 8m+, slightly milky in places. The giant cuttlefish were hiding though, with Trish finding a small shy one under a ledge. Lots and lots of fish about though.

Sure is looking busy for next weekend - fingers crossed all boats stay upright and in their own lanes. Otherwise I’ll be stocked up with ‘rescued by a girl’ stickers 🧜🏻♀️🩷
Good evening 😃
Here's tonight's updated nominations list.
Night, night!

Swansea 19/07/2026 - a little late posting this one as life is really busy this month. Ezra, Carissa and I managed to sneak in a 69min dive over the weekend. Conditions varied, but generally around 5-6m viz, but murky throughout. Water temp 17c. We made a trip to 'the 18m hole' and can confirm it is back to full depth with the trolley reef exposed. This always brings a good lot of critters to find.

Results for the 41st Nelson Bay Sea Slug Census are in. Very exciting to have confirmation that I recorded a new species for the census. Great work to all that contributed to these finds.

Pipeline 27/06/2026 - 86min of night dive nudi time! Trish, Carissa and I each searched hard on this dive as the viz allowed us to spread out. Easily over 10m! Water temp 18c. Some very cool finds!
