Pipeline 27/06/2026 - 86min of night dive nudi time! Trish, Carissa and I each searched hard on this dive as the viz allowed us to spread out. Easily over 10m! Water temp 18c. Some very cool finds!

Halifax 28/06/2026 - it was an early start and we had wet wetsuits from the night before, but we did it! 82mins of more nudibranch searching for Carissa, Trish and I. No nocturnals out despite it being early morning and fairly overcast, which made the viz a dark 7-8m. Water temp 18c.

The last 10 days have been hunting for nudibranchs. They definitely were hard to find with many varieties missing and some super super small. Would you have spotted this Goniodoridella?

Fly Point 24/06/2026 - today Carissa and I tried something different. We searched the rocks at Boat Harbour for nudibranchs, but had no luck. What we did see was a great whale show!

So off to Fly Point we went for a twilight dive. Over 85mins we searched and searched, finding a few addtions to our current species list. The nudibranchs just don't seem to be about for this census. Water temp 19c (freezing when you are hardly moving!) and viz fairly clear, blue and easily 8m.

Little Beach 21/06/2026 - another crack at adding to the nudibranch census. Some good finds and lots of cowries as well. Special mention to the angler found by Carissa, but surprise - there was another nearby! 100mins of dive time meant cold toes in 19c water. Viz was blue and mostly clear at around 8m.

Fly Point 20/06/2026 - 80min dive with Trish and Carissa today. Now usually a nudi census would mean many many "colourful slugs" as some of you call them, but nope :( . The fish won the dive today. We shall try again tomorrow. Water temp holding at 19c. Viz much nicer today with the sun out for most of the dive, some really nice patches of about 7m, others a little murky at around 5m.

Little Nelson 19/06/2026 - a tough start for nudi census. 79mins of searching with Carissa and Ezra, but not a lot to show for it. Fingers crossed the next few dives deliver the goods. Water temp 19c and viz was a dark and murky 4-5m at best.

Little Beach 17/06/2026 - today was a special dive for Ezra as he reached dive #200!! An amazing achievement at 14yrs of age. Rachel joined us for the 78min dive. Water is getting fresh at 19c and viz a murky 5m. Ezra's video highlights his favourite bits - he does love hunting for cowries.
