Coffee Inspired Thoughts ☕
Somewhere along the way, we started believing that being a “good” parent meant doing everything.
Train every day.
Cook every meal from scratch.
Never miss a game.
Build a career.
Keep the house spotless.
Be present 100% of the time.
It’s exhausting... and it’s impossible.
The parents who seem to have it all together usually aren’t doing more than everyone else.
They’ve just worked out what matters most to them and become incredibly consistent with those few things.
Maybe that’s the goal.
Not to do everything.
Just to do the important things, often enough that they make a difference.
☕ Question for this week’s coffee...
If you could only focus on three habits over the next month, what would they be?

Coffee Inspired Thoughts ☕
Somewhere along the way, being exhausted stopped being something we experienced...
..and became something we identified with.
Parents wear “I’m tired” like a badge of honour.
And don’t get me wrong—raising kids, working, paying bills and trying to keep life together is genuinely exhausting.
But constantly running on empty shouldn’t be the goal.
Looking after yourself isn’t selfish.
It’s one of the best things you can do for the people who rely on you.
So here’s your coffee inspired thought...
Have we normalised exhaustion so much that we’ve forgotten what feeling good actually feels like? ☕

We all want the best for our kids.
We sign them up for sport because we know it’s good for their confidence, health and friendships.
But there’s one lesson that’s even more powerful than dropping them off every Saturday...
Letting them see you train.
Kids don’t learn healthy habits from lectures.
They learn them from what happens at home.
If they grow up seeing Mum or Dad making time to move, they grow up believing that’s just what adults do.
That’s a lesson that can last far longer than any junior sporting season.
So this week, don’t just cheer from the sideline.
Let them see you step onto your own field too. 💪

I don’t know which parent needs to hear this...
But if your plans have ever been derailed by a sick kid, a phone call from school, a cancelled babysitter, or life just deciding today’s not your day...
Welcome to the club. 😂
I came home from Melbourne full of ideas and ready to hit the ground running.
2 hours after landing, I was on the couch with a sick little dude watching cartoons and handing out cuddles.
Was it the day I had planned? Not even close.
Did everything get done? Nope.
Did enough get done? Yep (for today).
I’ve realised that’s probably the biggest difference between people who keep moving forward and people who feel like they’re always starting over.
They don’t expect life to be perfect.
They expect life to happen.
So they stop measuring success by perfect days and start measuring it by whether they kept moving.
Because if you’re waiting for the stars to align before you look after yourself...
You might be waiting a very long time. 👊
